Sochan (pronounced SO-HAN) is a final piece player. Think Jrue Holiday or back in the day there was Dennis Rodman, or even for the spurs we had Bruce Bowen. The Spurs staff and Pop know what they are doing. And I promise you within the next two years, you and the world will see why Jeremey is so valuable, and why he was a key to the future.

great video my man however im not gonna let this jeremy sochan slander slide😂but ill explain why:
so san antonio spurs fans are actually very on the fence about sochan, a lot of fans aren’t fans of his and a lot of fans respect his game. the reason why it looks like some spurs fan “overrate” sochan is because he is HEAVILY disrespected by half the fanbase and by most of the league’s outsider fans of other teams. he’s been on the end of so much hate because he looks similar to dennis rodman, because they think he’s jealous of wemby/doesn’t pass to him. which is ridiculous honestly. he’s one of those players that don’t show up in the box score, but still have a great impact on a winning team. of course, the spurs aren’t ready to win quite yet so his impact looks worse than it actually is. but he’s a great defender, being able to do things like hold players like Lebron and Luka to 20% -25%FG. he’s a solid passer, and he’s turned his biggest flaw: shooting, into something solid. he came in from the draft being a pure project and a horrible offense player, but know he can shoot 3’s at a serviceable rate and shoots free throws much more efficiently.
as for the “point forward” experiment, while yes, it didn’t look great. point guard is his worst position and he took that role to improve another big flaw he had and he was able to improve on it. he got much less turnovers, had better passing vision, and a slightly cleaner handle by the 2nd half of the season.
sochan has always been a project player and he’s only 21yo. he’s not a superstar, nor was ever expected to be one, but he’s doing much better than people thought he initially was going to be.
