I appreciate the video. I picked up a used 2019 S60 T-5 R-Design w/Polestar last summer with 109000 on the odometer. I'm now at over 134000. I've had regular maintenance done every 5000 miles(oil changes, etc) but also I had the timing belt changed when I had to get the alternator replaced in February, new front brakes and rotors before that, spark plugs replacement, a computer update, engine mount replacement and a few other things. Right now, the Harmon Kardon sound system has a sub and speaker in the top of the dash that needs replacement, I broke the power sunroof button and I'm hearing a noise, somewhat like a knocking but it's not as sharp sounding after the car settles into idle. Overall, I'm 50/50 on the vehicle. I love the look and you don't see too many of these S60's on the road but even though the mileage was a bit higher than most when I picked it up, it's still things to be desired. The ride is harsh even with the 19's. The transmission sometimes seems like it's always looking for the right gear and when you press the accelerator, the turbo lag comes into play. It's not a very refined vehicle in some aspects.
Ive owned the same car but without the polestar engineered option for 4 years now, from nearly new and now its at nearly 90k miles. It had a recall to change a fuse in 2021. I drive quite sympathetically and have had no issues i think as a result. I have only had to change the brake pads once. I have done some simple servicing on the car myself since out of warranty. The lack of a dipstick is annoying but not a major issue. You reminded me to do the timing belt which I will do soon. The wipers have a nice feature where you can replace the rubber insert only for about £6 with a generic insert off ebay. Rather than spend £60+ on whole new wiper blades. Worth noting for other Volvo owners. Only issue I have had is a faulty cable on the starter motor. This left me stranded at a traffic light once as the engine didn't fire back up. This was a £150 fix including labour at a Volvo dealership. HK audio system is great and no issues. No sunroof on my car. The bad ride over bad tarmac is a common feature of volvos on the SPA platform it seems. Slightly annoying rattle from new on exhaust mounts when cold but goes away once warmed up. Overall, I am very happy with the car after driving for 4 years.

Yeah, a friend used to sell them brand new when he worked at Audi, when I do the next batch of performance cars I’ll be looking at the RS4 to make sure I can make a good video, sometimes getting all the visuals takes time, it’s why I haven’t done the E36 M3 despite requests as making a great video for you all is important to me. If you’re interested the timing chains are now considered a mandatory change on the B7 4.2, lesser know is Audi’s tyre specification and it limits. If I remember correctly a difference of 2.5mm between or across axles will put advanced wear on the drivetrain, but I’d need to do my full deep dive to see how many real world problems this causes 👍

Seems to be a solid car that can easily go over 100k miles. Frequent oil changes, transmission fluid and hopefully have a car for quite a while.
