Completely agreed with you Shamim. The point of “family man kya kar raha hai” and “Dhoni is still relevant” were the exact feelings I too had when I saw the announcement of Desh ka Dhoni. I still am a great fan of Flying Beast but skipped his series. I will see now with a matured perspective.
I felt that in that scene where gaurav runs back to hotel room for ritu (bathroom incident). They had the car, right. His team could have come there to pick gaurav and take him to the hotel and then later on continue from where he left his cycle. thoughts ?

Ye series agar Dhoni ke retirement ke baad aati ya agar dhoni ne is ipl ke baad actually retirement announce kar di hoti toh itna hate nahi milta. The line where you said ki "Dhoni is still relevant" yehi fact backfire kar gaya on this series.
Esa lagta hai Climax bas kuch bhi daal diya series end krne ko , kyoki main reason hi nhi rha ( retirement ) toh kuch toh krna hi tha....

The main problem with the series was intent. Never in all his vlogs he mentioned anything about MSD or he being such a big fan of MSD. Suddenly during IPL in between MSD craze he told everyone that He is a very big fan of DHONI. Saying things like, He cried many times for DHONI. Even his wife said that she didn't know that. All this looked fabricated and just an attempt to ride on MSD popularity and gain views.
Mereko laga tha ki last mein Dhoni se milega. Lekin ending accha nahi laga.
Lekin pura series bahat accha laga.
Normal vlogging se kuch aalag kiya. Lekin last mein Dhoni se milta to Goosebumps aajata

as you said the problem with the series was it Dhoni is very much relevant and it makes its setting hollow and it was wrong decision to market the " meeting with dhoni" it should be about him and his love or maybe task he is very much doing for himself not for like to tribute someone on behalf of whole india type. i think somewhere he ignored the right criticism as "hate". though i don't know the person myself but he seemed to be in a bubble during that time.

2021 k mid tak mein flying beast bohut dekhta tha it's like unke vlogs k bina din shuru krna muskil tha itna addicted ho gaya tha and mein apne aap ko unke family ka he member samajhta tha but abhi mein bhilkul v nahi dekh raha hoon, na he mera maan krta hai sayad mera uth suka hai family vlogs dekh dekh k but I agreed with you that jo hate ya troll unhein mil raha hai utna woh deserves nahi krty hai

i think the team or anyone heading this narrative thought that it might be a good idea to show some bts shots with the run of cinematic shots so that viewers could feel it real and not just simply acting.

When I watched the final episode i also thought the same like we will see dhoni sir but there was nothing. Ending pay off was feels none to me I also feels like why did I watched it at the first place. I never watched his vlogs may be 3-4 Vlogs I watched may be but still this series doesn't work for me. Some shots are beautiful but other than that this is just regular vlog which I dn't like that much tbh

It is his presention how he want to show the tribute towards dhoni.... riding bycycle doesn't make sense? He wanted to show journey how dhoni ig... How hard it was.... But it's true that there is something Missing here... He could have collected funds while riding and could donated it to any sport organisation.... But calling his cycle ride senseless is kinda.. not good...

ya well okay that was just my opinion... i personally used to watch flying beast a lot in lockdown but i lost interest on later....but see he never told the purpose of this did he? like okay many retired cricketers play cricket for charity purpose rgt? and those games r advertised too so more people watch as a return more funds... but the purpose of what he wanted to prove by cycling wasnt ever clear with al the hype made for this... and as u said he wanted to show dhoni's journey, but ig is that a way? Loved the build up...as a series and not being a viewer of his vlogs. The ending really disappointed they could have named it travelling to watch an IPL match.... they needed to show the match..do something at the ground ...even if he could never meet MSD
