  • The Badgers are on their bye week, so Zach and Jesse take a big picture view of the program 16 games into the Luke Fickell era. The guys then play some Overreaction or No and make their Week 4 picks

The Trech route running issue narrative is BS. They continually have Trech running into deep coverage or having him running to a spot and staying stationary (decoy to get Pauling open typically), which makes no sense based on his skillset. They need to get him moving across the field on short throws and use his quickness to get open. The best play the offense has is throwing to Trech on screens/outlets behind the LOS. It's very high completion percentage, and Trech would pick up 5-20 yard 75% of the time. This issue is we've only run it 3 times in 4 games (going back to LSU), each with good results. We should doing that 6-8 times per game. We simply don't do the simple things in our control to improve the team and the team's play.

With Braden: Longo must take what the USC defense gives him. I believe that we will still see a pretty balanced attack. KEY: Braden is really bright and has a great grasp of the offense. KEY: The O line needs to help him and give him some time. We need to be able to run the ball. Receivers must get separation and get solid run after the catch yards. Would like to see Tackett in the middle and Thomas on the outside. BAMA IS A GREAT PROGRAM AND I DID NOT EXPECT TO WIN. WI needs to step up vs USC. Tough to lose your most critical player. STAY STRONG BUCKY FANS.

The thing is, should we expect to see immediate success like some other programs, or, do we need to pump the brakes? I mean look at Michigan under Harbaugh: We throttled them at Ann Arbor 49-11, but turned it around after everyone called for Harbaugh's head. Not saying we're gonna win the Natty in a few seasons, but they stuck with their guy when everyone clamored for his head and it paid off for them

If things stay the way they are. Do you think there will be a coaching change next year? Offense or Defense.

The progress is made in recruiting, that doesn’t show up immediately

Wisconsin played in the Rose Bowl in 2020 then the pandemic happens and all I hear is the cupboard is bare and we are going through a complete rebuild. How do we get to the point of needing a complete rebuild after playing in the Rose Bowl?

I agree, I think not being able to keep Jack Coan really hurt. Coan was awesome that 2019 season and maybe Graham Mertz would've been better one more year as the second string under Coan's Leadership.

I know Coan got hurt but I picture him vs penn state and michigan and notre dame 2021 as closer games and 2/3 wins?

Poor recruiting. Seemed like every year more position coaches were coaching where they had no experience then the coup de grace, a wide receiver coach as an inexperienced offensive coordinator who made questionable decisions, the offense kept regressing. Then there was the loyalty to position coaches who had Wisconsin ties but weren't that good. If Leonard stayed as head coach I can just about guarantee Wisconsin would have had their first losing record because he was loyal to the Chryst staff. Mertz pretty much lost his job this season. The O line didn't have capable backups to step up. The WRs that left show good things at lower competition, Southern Illinois but others are struggling with decent programs like Florida.....takes 3-4 years to bring Wisconsin back to respectable.

QB looks like a mess again next year even if TVD comes back. I'm not convinced he is the guy that can really help lead this team to offensive success. Locke will probably leave, Mabrey may not be ready and then its up to finding someone from the portal again.
