Hey Kim, I'm a Cajun from south Louisiana & I want to give you a little tip; when you're frying something put it on a metal rack to drain the grease instead of paper towel. Put the paper towel on a tray and put the rack above the tray so that any grease will drip down through the grids of the metal rack onto the paper towel. Doing this will prevent whatever you fried from getting soggy & it will keep it crispy. Cafe du Monde in New Orleans makes the best beignets & you can even buy the mix in a box. Bon appetit 💜⚜

Cooking and baking with grandchildren is priceless. You are creating memories they will never forget. Chances are they will do the same when they have grandchildren. I love cooking and baking with my 2 yr old grandson. He uses a rolling pin well, cracks eggs open well, sifts and stirs and is best taste tester!
