Thanks, Its extremely useful for a scheduler to generate 4D/5D schedules. Just a quick check, do we need Navis work Autodesk license to work on this as the Navisworks Freedom 2024 version doesn't shows options of adding tasks
Navisworks Freedom 2024 is a free viewer and doesn’t require a license to use, but if you need to perform tasks beyond just viewing, such as model coordination, clash detection, or other advanced features, you will need a licensed version of Autodesk Navisworks. Thanks for the question. Unfortunately that is not something that Navisworks does out of the box. The focus is on the design models. However, Navisworks will consume a project schedule from software such as Microsoft Project or Primevera, so that kind of information can be simulated. Setup is required for that though, and was not covered in this video. Hope this helps.
Hi, thanks for your tutorial. Just wonder whether you can have dependecies/relationships between the tasks in Navisworks Simulate? Can you create the logic in the schedule like in other project planning software (Primavera, MS Project) or do you select only the dates? If one activity is delayed, do you have to manually change the rest of the schedule, which is dependent on the delayed activity?
How do I keep my entire model there while executing the demolition simulation? I've selected a few components and saved them as sets, but when I go to execute the sim, it only shows the components in the sets and not the rest of model. How do I show progress of deconstruction if the rest of the model disappears too? I'm a bit of a novice so anything helps, thanks.
Luke, thanks for the question. An issue like that usually eludes to how your elements are in their sets and configured to appear and/or disappear. It's all in the sets and sequencing. Although it's not desired, sometimes it helps to redo your sets, sequencing, etc. basically redo it from the ground up to flush out any backwards or unwanted behavior. In order to address this I would need to see your model to know exactly what you're dealing with. So if you'd like to open a support case with us I'd be happy to help you out. Regards

Great! Thanks for video!
Additional tips for 43:40 - save file as "NWF" if you want to delete or change 3d models in the Selection Tree.
Very well done, thanks for making this public

You are absolutely superb !
Great video, thanks.
Can you extract resource graphs from Navisworks? Like lets say how many workers are on the field each day

No. Logic like that is not a feature of the software. However, you can set that up in your authoring tool (Primavera, etc.) and then import it.
