I was feeling so sad for the last member of this house. As long as I am watching it is doing prayer for Madam Isabelle for the eternal peace of her soul!!
I have to say, I wince every time you and others just breeze by the old dolls and teddy bears. I think there was a small mohair dog in one room that appeared to be a Steiff. Many really old stuffed animals and dolls are quite valuable, more so than many of the items left behind. It would be great if you would pause when filming old toys so we can see them better. Some of the "dolls" you saw in this house were functional - one held plastic shopping bags so they can be reused, the very long one was made to cover an upright sewing machine. I'd love to go on an adventure like this!
What a sweet little quaint house. Someplace you can definitely picture the family coming to for holidays. Glad that you found it and could show it to us. What a wonderful place. Hope you have a great week.
Thank you, Maureno, for a beautiful video! How is it all by itself but you still hear traffic noises! The little hanging dolls are actually trash or grocery plastic bag holders.. wonderful place, bittersweet.. love your respectful narration!❤ from Texas! 🤠🤟⚘️😍
The little machine on the kitchen table is a bread making machine. I have one that looks like that. It makes a small load of bread. Thank you for the great explore.
What an absolutely adorable home. I would love to be able to fix it up and live there. I would definitely restore the furniture and try to bring it back to life. So sad to see such adorable history just wasting away.
Wow Maureno! 😮Really small house same to my home. But full of decorations and I'm thinking she were made the dolls around of the house. Other things always found sad the family not take care of the place or donate the items to someone need.❤😊🤗👍
Put back the sewing machine cover to preserve the machine longer if someone should come from the family to recover things…It looks very good and that’s because it was covered
What a nice little place. When you find doors and windows open why not close them. Love the decorative beads hanging in the doorways. This place has been rummaged thru because there's stuff dumped out. It didn't fall. Where's Remon , miss seeing him. All the places just left is sad when so many need homes. Sad just sad
Hey dear Maureno, that was such a nice and very cozy cottage you explored somewhere in France. I loved listening to your wonderfully formulated introduction. Very good job, - respect, bro! - Also the background music with the melancholic mood underlined ideally the somehow sad atmosphere of abandonement. -The rooms really had a complete time capsule vibe. - The cat related items were sweet to see. - I can imagine the former owners having had a very peaceful life. - A lot of beautiful small and decorative items are visible throughout the abandoned rooms of this place. - The small picture on the wall with that young man was so touching. - The small miniature swords might have been used for cocktails or small apero snacks. - But of course I enjoyed most seeing that still intact beautiful upright piano from the brand "Pleyel"! - But were you alone exploring in that cottage? Thank you for sharing this interesting explore. I enjoyed very much following you through the rooms of that cozy cottage and listening to your comment. - Excellent! Very well done, my friend! Stay safe, peace and kindest regards from Switzerland.
Fascinating place!!! So much to see!!! I think this is one of your best explores. The small photo of the young man, who looks like he is wearing army kakis, has a yellow rose bud attached to the frame. Yellow roses are global tradition to use to honor someone who passed away in battle. The bronze--colored round mirror that you mention having seen before in French homes became popular in the first half of the 20th century (up through 1950's) and is called the "Starburst" or "Sunburst" design. The little black train engine clock is from the 1970's and was popular with preteen boys. If you add a little cooking oil through a tiny spout, it will eventually start emitting some steam through the front pipe. In US we call the hanging beads in doorways "Beaded Curtains." They were very popular in the late 1960, early 1970 during the "hippie" culture era.
The deer tapestry/rug in the last bedroom is from the late 1960s and made in Canada. I have the exact some one behind me now that was my mom and dads :)
It doesn’t matter your age, if you love dolls, cats n stuffed animals don’t put them away and think “let me act my age and forget about that part of me” Don’t think like that! That’s the very thing that keeps someone young and happy in life! Do you ever notice the people who are very serious in life who never ever indulge their inner child, these ppl always look older than they are, have bad health n pass away before they should have 😮 So many nice comments about this beautiful persons home I see it affected ppl and makes them feel something good even for someone they don’t know ❤
The hanging beads over the doorways are called beaded curtains. They were very popular with the "hippies" back in the 1970's. Maybe the former owners were in their 20's then and trying to relive the past.
Love this video! And not all cat ladies are crazy. Seems like you were gone for a while. And I think it's funny that explorers are always spooked by spiders. They are not that bad...thank you for the video!! Meow!😺😺
Have the same wildlife tapestry in our house of the stag with die, and fawn. Also little swords for little Meats and cheeses. Would have added pictures but couldn't
Thank you for calling it a sewing box and not a knitting box. Such a small house very cozy, but they sure did fill up all the space with not much room to walk through.
loved this video such a time capsule I think the boxes had fabric in them I think she may have been a seamstress and made clothes and other things I love when places are untouched keep up the good work
I just love how respectful you are of the places you explore. I so enjoy your informative and detailed videos. Thank you for sharing. Oh, and you're a much braver person than I . . . I don't do spiders!!! Happy exploring and stay safe.
On that wall, that piece of cloth in French "La vraie choucroute" is an authentic recipe how to make sourcrout. The lady bug clip on the side looks nice. Thanks a lot Maureno!
Great explanation! The bead curtains were very popular in the USA in the late 1960’s. So many spiderwebs. Shall we call you Spider-Man for this episode? 😃
Hello hello!!! ❤🤴 I loveeee french homes, and i love cottages, so this video i pure bliss!!! 😍 And this video is nothing but cuteness and coziness ❤ Nothing but adorable stuff left behind. I really really reallyyy loved and enjoyed this cute little explore with you my dear Mo 😊 Thanks! See you next time, bye! ❤
What a charming little cottage. It looks so cozy and warm. Thanks for sharing this explore 😊. Stay safe 👌 👍 🙏 ❤. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Wow, Maureno. This house was a special find. So glad you discovered it and shared it with the world. I definitely "smashed the thumbs-up button"👍for your "Conquering the cobwebs"! 😆🕸I have to agree with you, this one was definitely a "Spider Paradise".🕷 It had my arachnophobia going slightly bonkers. I give you full credit for taking it on! That's more than I would have done. I can see where this tiny house was once very much loved. I can almost sense the serenity one would feel from living in such a secluded, cozy little home. I wish I understood why places like this are left derelict to rot away, and why no one seems to take an interest in them. So glad that you took this one on and documented it before it's lost. Being left abandoned with the door left wide open, it's a wonder there's anything left of it at all after a decade. Fantastic video, Maureno! God bless you and stay safe. 🙏 P.S. That upright piano was absolutely beautiful! From the sounds of its tone, I would love to have heard a song played on it. I bet it was something special!
You said you were planning on going to med school. I think you would make a great doctor-very compassionate! Just don’t let Medicine sap you of yourself
Viel zu viel was nichts nutzte.
Willkommen in Mittelerde!
Wow I really love your videos thank you for sharing those history about the honored lady everything so beautiful special all those cats meow God bless you all always
