@@CanizaM Most of drive that have multiple platters, they records let say one file, in multiple heads multiple platter, what happen if one of platter misaligned? The file will be read in half . This situation will contribute to many issues.
Heads in the same time read/write data on platter, it is spread not only in one platter. You can imagine if one platter misaligned, one parts of data will lost. Firmware will not help.
@@goojoe1974 marked thin line on edge of all platters before you dismantle them. Take note, pay attention to your drive, do all those tings on experiment/none data hard drive. After you acheive level of confidence then go head with your data drive.
This model of drive others in DR have said worked fine without alignment, so I suspect it may be a matter of runout.

thanks, so what is the answer on how to keep platter alignment?
Hard to say to make it aligned.. it only one way, make a tjin line marking on edge of platters before removed them
The sound like mine, what about mean aligment platters,
Platter should be aligned before and after removed them, it is for hard drive that have more then 1 platter. Due to data is spread in most of platter.
How process to aligment that platters, i dont open platters but sound like yours thx

how about 1 platter
One platter is no issue, you can take out any time with no worry to fix back
How can your keyboard be so dusty in a clean room environment :-) ?
Thanks for watching. I am using Laminar Flow Cabinet for hdd critical operation, it is clean cabinet, not the whole room.
Thank you for wasting your hard disk
