I waited a long time for one to show up on Craigslist at the right price, then zoomed an hour south to scoop up a somewhat modded KDX220R at the right price. Now it's highly modded .. FMF everything, high compression RB head, hotter spark coil, hydro clutch w/spring assist and longer swingarm, Lectron carb. Edit: I've had to fix the lawn a few times after being a little too throttle-happy putting it back in the barn.
I was the same way with Yamaha IT’s, rode them for years and they were hard to fault. What I’d love to find is a WR200 Yamaha, have you seen those ? Pretty rare and a kick ass little bike too. I wish Kawasaki would come out with a KDX 300R can you imagine that green monster? Wow
No you won't. The numbers are adding up against you. They've ALL passed by enough people that they're in the hands of people who know what they are. People realize these things are extreme motocross racing bikes . They're NOT trail bikes. The general public is crazy and motorcycle manufacturers are right. They're right to stop handing you idiots, motocross racing bikes fine tuned for endurance motocross racing.
God there are so many dinguses posting videos of kdx200s that run like absolute crap. Thank you for actually having a well tuned bike that sounds like mine. And you actually have a lot of bike skill.
I know it the air cooled ones looked the best in my opinion and where as powerful as a 4 stroke 350 ridicules low end I’ve tracterd it around at like 400 rpm
Great audio, man! Sounds like I'm riding my KDX 200. I like the way it sounds so much I go looking for great POV videos like this of KDX riding. Nicely done.
It was a terrible misuse of an endurance motocross racing bike. Read the name idiots. KX with a distance aspect put in the name. So its kawasaki's long distance motocross racing bike. KDX. Can you READ? Do you require reading glasses? Do you understand branding?
That thing sounds sweet!!! I miss riding so much! I’ve gotta get another bike soon. Definitely looking at a KX 500 or CR 500 They r beasts!!! Sweet KDX tho
Caleb Johnson i have an fmf fat boy with an fmf silencer not sure what kind it is. but the stock silencer on these bikes are very quiet.they dont run as well with the stock ones though.
@@calebjohnson1471 Don't take advice from this uneducated person. What a load of rubbish that statement was about the stock KDX. The KDX is designed for endurance motocross racing NOT trail riding. The stock pipe was professionally tuned for long motocross races. After a while the standard KX exhaust pipe gives you a headache, so the professionals tuned out lots of noise for the endurance motocross racing bike.
@@motomark2125 You're lack of knowledge is exposed. You adapt to what you're riding. You have powerful features so you don't have any excuses not to go into 1st gear if required. If the place you're riding requires you to go into 1st gear then you go into 1st gear. You don't allow the engine revs to drop down too much and you don't allow the engine revs to go too high either. They give you lots of gears so you keep the engine revs in the one location.
Silly. You don't do endurance motocross racing. Why would you go for a stiff bike with lazy gearing and steering? And why would you swap brands cause you'll have to relearn everything from the start. Changing from Low torque revs to sleak mid torque is difficult. Kawasaki's are like 3 motors in 1. You have no idea what you're doing by changing brands and types of bikes.
Finally! I had to scroll through dozens of KDX thrashing videos before I finally found one with my kind of riding
I miss my KDX 220. Both the 200 and the 220 phenomenal bikes. Wish they were still made. I will find another one!
i love mine! its changed a bit since this video, it runs much better. really good bike and will do almost anything!

Brst sounding E model on UA-cam, good riding
I had a 1986 KDX 200 and it was definitely the fastest Enduro in the 175---250 class. This bike was FAST

Did a hybrid, working on jetting. These E series engines are great.
Are you running the stock pipe? I’m thinking of getting one but I’m not in the most rural area
