Her real name is actually spelled as Lalisa Manobal but the Thai character for 'l' is pronounced 'n' when at the end of a syllable. That's why everyone gets confused for "Manoban"

There’s one Thai alphabet that can be translated to “L” in writing in English, but it does sound like “N” when used at the end of a word. (“BAL” would sound like “BAAN”) Its very common. My last name also has the same L/N thing going on. There’re also several other nuances in Thai language e.g. “V” in writing could sound more like “W”. Confusing I know.

When we write according to thail it is written as L bit actually we should read it as N.. MANOBAN
