Awesome tutorial! This helped me to extract the models and textures from Polar Patroller, and now I have (probably the only one in the world) a custom built minifigure of him! I 3D printed his head and made some stickers for the body, it's pretty cool.
@@JhowWillianFortnite it requires a lot of percise placement with UV nodes and mix rgb nodes, it takes a lot of work and is difficult to figure out what goes where, Let alone the fact the faces arent properly supported by Fmodel to begin with right now, its a lot really LOL, I know some people Within the Fortnite Porting Discord server ("Chippy" & "ThisIsMe_3D") have manged to make/in the progress of making some face rigs
What a great tutorial you made, my friend. It has helped me a lot 😋 I have a question, do you think there is a way to modify the rig to move the pelvis and have the legs act accordingly, staying in place? I tried with an IK Constraint but I can't get it to work.
It should work for 4.0 and possibly 3.6 as well You can use PSK format and find a plugin which can work for even older versions. UEFormat is just better in almost everyway
@@PumpkinHook It was my bad, I was putting it in the wrong folder. Do you have an easier way to find what parts a specific figure uses, for example hairpieces that don't have physical part ids, but are used across numerous characters?
@@Cheatster9000x Sadly not really, if its an official lego piece (numbered id) then your best bet is to search online with a description of the piece then lego, for instance I searched up "Lego Cowboy Hat" to find the piece used for Frigid Forgoer. If its custom, then you're into more trouble and may have to find another skin which uses it, such as Defaults
@@PumpkinHook Unfortunately one of the pieces I'm looking for (The Iron Man helmet used on members of the Seven among others), despite being an official piece, isn't under it's number ID, and it doesn't seem to be under any of the figures that use it that I can find.
The tail models are known in the files as Hip Accessories or "HipAcc". The path for the tail models is this: FortniteGame/Plugins/GameFeatures/Juno/FigureCosmetics/Content/Figure/_Figure_SharedParts/HipAcc
Heyo whenever I try to import the models I got from FModel into Blender they dont show up in the file explorer as if the file format is compatible even though I clicked on import .uemodel Is there a fix for this?
During the exporting process I did have to use the option to "Export Raw Data" because the "Save Model" option was not working at all, could that be the source of the problem? If so is there a solution to it?
@@WillTJaxAnimator That would be the source of the problem, if you were doing this right after the recent update, it could be the fact Mappings (a piece of vital information needed for exporting fortnite models) wasnt available, if you try again today, hopefully it should work
@@WillTJaxAnimator Unsure, could try re-exporting, if it still doesnt work then you'll likely need a newer release which you can find on github under the QA testing (just pick the newest file if you have to)
@@PumpkinHook Ok I legit didnt even do anything new I just tried the entire process again and it worked this time for some reason lmao thanks for the tutorial 👍

Yooo that's so cool, can you make a video of it? I'd like to see it because I might do the same with guaco
Is there a reason none of the head acc SKM files are showing up for me?
download a version of Fortnite before 32.00, they are now in the form of a mutable file which is unfortunately not yet decodable

Hi, thanks for the tutorial! When are you going to make the video about facerigs?
they're very complicated and i havent had enough time to check them out fully myself

Awesome Tutorial, thank you! Now I just gotta figure out what to do with that model. XD
I do need a tutorial on how to add the LEGO faces as well though.
How do I add custom heads? I'm trying to add guaco but can't figure out how to add the headpiece without deleting the other one from the main body
I think I missed a step or something. How are you saving the uasset files as uemodel files?
You save the model and click the link. It will save the file as a uemodel. At 3:38
can you do expressions next?
this helped me a lot thank you!
