Arthur obviously had some pretty bad demons he was fighting. I love love love his character. He tries so hard to be good. His character is one of the more realistic ones in the show.
For me it’s tommy. The war changed him but losing his girl was the worst that could happen. It was the only thing which connected him and when he lost that, he lost everything.

The kind of rage Arthur deals with is more intoxicating than any drug out there and far more addictive cause once you let all that bottled up rage release its truly the most freeing feeling in the world but also the most scary. Honestly I'd describe it as a pressure in the brain that continues to get worse and worse until you just want to kill somebody, so not fun and it makes it hard to even live in normal society cause you truly don't know what will set you off and then what you will do in the midst of that rage. My dad says when it happens my eyes just go dark and he can't see even a hint of the love and gentleness he usually sees when he looks at me.. So I have nothing but sympathy for Arthur even despite the terrible things he does.
I think you have been through quite a bit of trauma because I have the same thing happen to me I do recommend therapy I’m being told it helps not sure thou
Same here man. My Dad says the same thing. When I go into a rage mood, nothing can calm me down than seeing blood. My eyes go dark and I lose complete control of who I am.

Honestly for me it's almost like an out of body experience or as if my true self checks out and my ugly side completely takes the wheel and drives. Also when I get like that I feel no pain and will smash my fist into the wall repeatedly, punch myself in the head, or scream so loud my nose starts to bleed and none of it fazes me in the slightest... I am just so beyond messed up and that's why I'm very glad I'm going back into therapy and this time sticking with it no matter what cause I don't want to put my wonderful and loving family through this shit anymore.
