Would Guran have forgiven himself for killing the hunter? He follows the way of the Phantom, including not even killing your enemies. The hunter is low-class scum but the Phantom is not an executioner, even in his own jungle where he is still judge and jury.
@@ShadowWingTronix the fact that the woman considered killing Guran to save a criminal because they don't kill makes no sense whatsoever.
@@heroesytumbas If Guran had torn someone apart as a mindless animal he would have hated himself. He doesn't want to be that dangerous to anyone, even a villain.
@@ShadowWingTronix still makes zero sense. "we don't kill, but we'd rather kill a good, valuable guy to prevent him from feeling bad for something he had no control over, than letting a criminal who asked for it get hurt." Btw, there's an episode where the phantom let go an armed mugger because he had a stolen coin, showing how flawed some of his dogmas are.
@@heroesytumbas Heloise didn't think Guran could be restored if I remember correctly. She didn't believe Guran would want to be a mindless animal killing people good or evil. He wasn't in control of his actions and until the Phantom decided to try to reach him she thought he never would and it's what Guran would have wanted.

The fact that the aunt considered killing Guran to save a criminal because the phantom and his allies don't kill makes no sense whatsoever.
Maybe it wasn't to save them, but to free Guran.
If he stayed too long in the shadow panther form, he'd get stuck there, physically as well as mentally
(That's true of many shape shifters lore. They start to forget how to think like a human, even loosing some of their features, like cat or wolf eyes)
