I was pretty much one-tricking mei in ow2. For me, it feels like a nerf. The slow effect does not come up for the lack of dmg. Now she feels like a support playing as dps
I agree Id prefer the 100 dps and less slow over 55 dps :/

I feel that change is definitely a nerf. Yeah the slow is cool, but you're lethality is now so low with the left click that i don't even bothet using it most of the time except on tanks.
The thing is that the left click used to be very good to kill through dva's matrix, sigma's suck and all that kind of stuf, wich the buffed rightclick is useless against, plus it was AoE, allowing to burst multiple players, which you can't anymore.
80% of the time when i try to land the buffed icicle, i either get killed or my target gets saved by a bubble, a pull, a matrix... Which didn't occure that much before since there was less counter and the damage was not all focused in one shot.
To sum up : i hate it
the change like feels like they’re trying to raise her skill ceiling by adding the new convoluted mechanic by making it extremely situational ( past the already short range ) and having abysmal time to kill if you can’t hit the shot. just feels like a half baked concept that needed more time to be worked on
It's a good idea poorly executed. I can respect they atleast put effort into this change rather than her initial OW2 changes where it was "meh, nerf her whole kit and make her left click do more damage. That'll be balanced".
To actually make this change worthwhile, either remove the delay on icicle when the enemy is "frozen" so you can actually do the combo like OW1 because right now the time it takes to execute the combo you just die or when they are frozen they do a 180, look down and their head becomes impossible to hit making the combo actually impossible. Or make them hindered when they are "frozen" so it can actually be used to effectively counter mobility which is what they were going for. Right now it's essentially another nerf on the hero which is the last thing she needed. It does feel much more like OW1 Mei though which I like, just wish they consulted Mei players on how to improve it before pushing it live.
To build off your idea, what about if Mei's gun had a "charged" mode like sojourn? After doing enough left click damage your next right click is instant. Might feel odd having different timings to right click though.

The 30-50 might’ve worked, the 75% is stupid, just have the 50% last like half a second after you stop shooting to allow you to line up a shot
Maybe your alt fire after 3 shots does a 40% slow or something idk but it should never be 75% besides the ult

I wanted to play Mei because she has an awesome new skin this season but feels so underwhelming unless you're dealing with movement reliant characters. Even then the slow just makes it less fun for everyone. Mei doesn't get as many kills & enemies just dont get to move. I hope they change their mind on this change.

To melt shields u use left click since it did 100 damage a sec but not this new left click isn’t good enough ne your better off to using right click which feels underwhelming.

90% of my games are mei, junk, doom and Moira and I just can’t. I recently came back and the game doesn’t feel fun, a month or so ago it felt pretty decent aside from kiriko spamming shirikens at corners constantly so you are forced to just sit there. And after everyone complains about sombras 1.5 sec hack being too much to the point the devs are working on a rework 😢 they somehow think adding a heat seeking missile that not only has insane lock on, does 70 damage, has a 30% slow but ALSO locks out movement abilities for its entire stick duration? What are the devs doing…?
But at least LW seems more playable (without being op) tho I still rarely see one
