I thought I was the only one that got FEEL SPECIAL vibes from lovesick girls like they are both upbeat pop/dance type songs but they both have really sad meanings and undertones you can even see it the mv and hear it in there voices
I also love that both of the overall message are polar opposites. But together, both of the song's beats and melodies blend together soooo seamlessly.
apparently one of the reasons why feel special didn't chart as well in Korea despite the general public liking the song was because they were thrown off by how sad the lyrics were but how good it was as a dance track lol. It's probably the reason why the Korean version has been charting really well in Japan, even better than the japanese version

The Feel Special instrumental makes the song sound more like an anthem (in the chorus the girls are basically chant singing the lyrics which is very anthem like, and in the original song the instrumental didn’t back them up so it sounded empty and un-anthem like). The FS instrumental brought the production value that was missing in the original and makes the song more similar to their other title songs that have great production value in the instrumental and were “loud” sounding. The FS instrumental makes this sound more like a title track. And the fact that the FS instrumental is more dancey makes the choreo better. In the original the last chorus sounds great because there was more going on in the instrumental, I wish Teddy had made all the other choruses like that and then made the last chorus even bigger.
0:29 the melody from fs fits PERFECTLY for lisa's part and 2:21 is so good

Wow! I really loved this! My main issue with Lovesick Girls is that it sounded super 2010. (Also, sometimes the track was not... super cohesive, lol.) But the Fancy track brings that 80s revival, maximalist pop sound that is much more modern, and that like high melody that keeps coming back ties it all together! What an incredible idea!

I don’t know how feel special brings a 80s revival but I love the 2010 feel. It gives me nostalgia of music I used to listen to. It’s also fun to see a 2010 kinda song during the retro trend that’s going on.
