I plan to get D1X. Quite expensive. But It seems it’s the best dry suit ever made.

I could love this suit. I really want to love this suit. But...I CAN’T. That’s because Waterproof has some convoluted idea about the sizes that human bodies come in. They build their suits to accommodate people 5’7” and above, but even then you better have a really long torso. Otherwise your suit will still be too large. And on some suits, that’s important, because many, like the suit in this video, don’t have telescoping torsos at the waist. So you end up with a suit that’s got a lot of drag. And for the price, that’s inexcusable, as this D1 Hybrid is one of the most expensive on the market. As for custom sizing, well, you can forget about that as well. I would’ve purchased this suit long ago if it was available in my size or by having one custom sized for me. How about it Waterproof...when are you going to start accommodating us male divers between 5 foot and 5 feet 7 inches? There’s a lot of us out there, and more than a few would really like to have this suit. But it doesn’t come close to being in our sizes.

Dean Swinscoe's verdict on the D1 Waterproof Dry Suit, Less than a moth old and the boot seem construction integrity fails due to leaks, the Velcro fastening, glued to the underside of the main neck brace support, pulls away, due to none glue fitment, lack of, or the glue composition has failed, some of the Velcro has not even been glued full stop after a closer examination by professionals, waterproof in Sweden being thus, the waterproof logos have simply fallen off, yet again due to improper or incorrect attachment, to summarise the suit is very overpriced just for an alleged non squeeze inner spring system made of plastic, the checking quality management is obviously non existent, for these faults alone has taken 4 weeks and counting, still no notice of when my suit is due back, no apology given, no loan suit, no good customer will gesture, nothing. would I recommend the D1 to you or a friend NO is my answer.
