I raised $82k and Claudia Ann Brandon is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Claudia A Brandon is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note!:: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!

I'm forever grateful that my parents paid for my college. I was able to figure out a way to save and pay for one year. That gave me money to buy a used car when I graduated. I wouldn't let my daughter go out of state as she could get the same degree in state. She benefited from graduating debt free. She wasn't happy at the time but was happy to have zero student loans.

I followed Dave Ramsey‘s program and my husband passed away but I paid off $28,018 in debt. My car is paid for my bank loan is paid for my credit card is paid for now. I have zero debt and I buy myself so I don’t plan on going into that again. I appreciate all the work that you do. I stayed the course and this was October 24 of 2018 the same year that I decided to lose 80 pounds got rid of the debt and got rid of the weight. I’ve never told anybody like that before but oh well🎉

Thank you for doing this show. I have struggled with debt (living above my means) since 2014
I used to have over 10k in credit card debt and now I am down to 3.9k
After that I will have a 9.5k car loan and a 42k student loan (ouch)
Your videos give me inspiration to keep moving on
Having my $1k emergency fund makes me feel so good :)
Thank you for the work that you guys do

Re: college- both hosts made great points. Minimum wage compared to total college cost since I went to college (1987-92) to now (2022-26) demonstrates that I can’t expect my kids to pay for their school the way I paid for mine. BUT only help them if your retirement is covered. I don’t want my kids to have to take care of me in my elder years.

Give them all 25k each and call it a deal 100k out of over a million come on man this guy got my blood boiling but thanks to our host Rachel she believes it right to help now life is too tough not too ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

Honestly I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, at first I thought I heard wrong the inheritance amount. If they don’t give a good amount now the children will resent their parents in the end no doubt. I’d give a good amount and suggest them to consider follow Ramsey steps. Then, would be on them to make most of it. I read the book and though I don’t agree with everything, I wish I knew about this earlier, that I had thought about it earlier. Life is short, between 20 and 40’s is the time to do all you can but we are trapped into this system giving our best years to keep the economy engine working. We need to teach our children a different way to live.

Jana's call about the truck - No, Rachel - it's not that she's not being listened to. Maybe he's not being listened to. How much is SHE the controller and does SHE always get her way? There's more to this story - I can't believe she is calling in with one side of the story and weeping. It's not that much money for what he makes. I don't think Ken is right when he says the husband is clueless. I think he thinks it's his turn now and he can reward himself for working hard with this truck. And she admits she has shown NO excitement over what HE wants, too. And I don't think most women understand the "car thing" with some men. She ought to be glad he's such a good provider - a LOT of women would like to change places with her - and if she's not careful, one day one will. Be glad it's a truck and not another relationship or he's sitting in a bar getting wasted every night. If you can't have what you want, sometimes it's good to want what you have.

Jana from Phoenix, I feel as though you have definitely misunderstood your relationship with your husband. Doesn't sound like a dream team to me. Im sorry youre dealing with that. I myself am a husband, and I can tell that this is a major red flag, and I feel your marriage is in trouble. Get couples therapy, your relationship is probably more rocky than you think. You believe you have a great marriage and relationship, but I dont think its as great as you think. No way in a healthy marriage would you make a purchase this big against your partners interest.

I love it when Rachel tells the callers who are in relationships with immature partners: "we need to handle this situation like mature adults..." I picture the caller citing Rachel's words to her partner and the partner saying, "right, let me first finish this video game, then we can talk. Now go and fix me a bowl of Cap'n Crunch with chocolate milk." Sad, but a very likely scenario.
