thank you for asking about their early days touring with classic 90s hardcore bands. Always wanted to get chris's perspective on those days. Much props from chile, Saves the day south american tour !
The first two albums, especially the first, definitely had a lot of hardcore influence in the guitar riffs and drum beats. I don't think they just "fit in" with hardcore, I think they were hardcore to a degree.
Its funny because my old band Millhouse out of San Antonio Tx back in the 90's used to play at this gutter punk club and we would always get flack from the sewer rats because we were a fast pop punk band and they hated that kind of music.
Man i was happy that Saves The Day was baby Lifetime because Lifetime was one of my favorite bands !!
He just seems like a really humble, grateful dude. This small talk has become one of my favorites.

Seriously one of the nicest musicians I've ever met. So genuine.
This made my day. I'm such an advocate for early 2000's emo
I love Chris Conley's outlook on life and music, such a great interview!
I love his stuff with Max Bemis! Two Tongues forever!

Such a down to earth guy.
Saves The Day and especially Through Being Cool are so massively underappreciated, it's sad

Just so everyone knows "Chris" is really nice and he's a true Homie

I'm surprised you didn't ask him about the reason of the revolving door of musicians STD had over the years...
