*I heard this story when I was a child from my grandmother who grew up and went to school in a French Catholic Monastery in the island of Syros in Greece. In the monastery she was given the holy bible in French with a cover of a picture of Mary Magdalene. She died in 1987 at the age of 90 and she left me this bible which I treasure immensely!*
Witness to the Resurrection and the "Apostle of the Apostles" Mary Magdalene was the first to witness the resurrection of Jesus, earning her the title "Apostle of the Apostles." This role highlights her significance in early Christianity and the essential leadership she provided after Christ’s death.
I believed she was not a prostitute even if were taught at early age ( I was born in 1954) that she was a prostitute. I read a lot and I learned she was an intelligent woman, brave and a feminist of her time.
@@deliafamatigan8764 Thank you for sharing your perspective! It's fascinating how historical figures can be viewed differently over time as we learn more about their lives and contributions. It's great to hear that you've done your own research and discovered a more nuanced view of her as an intelligent and brave woman. History often has many layers, and it's important to recognize the complexity of individuals and their impact on society. Your comment adds valuable depth to the conversation!
This video begins with incorrect information. The narrator describes three women named Mary and distinguishes Mary of Bethany, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, from "the sinful woman who anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair (Luke 7:36-50). But John 11:1-2 (KJV) states that Mary of Bethany is the same woman who anointed the feet of Jesus with ointment and wiped His feet with her hair. If the video begins with an important factual error, how can any of its information be trusted?
This story goes beyond tradition! Mary Magdalene's journey with Jesus is one of faith, courage, and loyalty

I read that St. Mary Magdalene lived in France before she died. She lived in a cave as her shelter.

No. I did not know this aspect of Maria Magdela. Thank You.
The patriarchy had to humble themselves, back then and still now🎉❤😊

First commandment hate thy brother
Loved this information, but rather disheartened when her name is said incorrectly. Mary. Not Maria. Thank you
Why did you change Mary’s name to Maria in the telling of the story of Mary Magdalene?
@Melissa-pt2ik - The video is an Artificial Intelligence narration offering a Spanish Catholic (Maria Magdela) interpretation of Mary Magdalene.
Still the damage was done.
Amen.
