My favorite is when a character is doing something but with closed eyes and smile (usually daily stuff, especially cooking). It feels like they put their heart into it and it's really adorable.

Now I want to see a character do this, causing them to mess everything up, like cracking an egg and pouring it onto the table, right next to the frying pan, because their eyes are closed.
I remember craig of the creek was on the tv once while I was exercising, one of the main characters has no whites in his eyes, they just color it in with his skin color. The "lights out" trope happened, and all of the characters eyes glowed in the dark except his, and when they called him out on it, he just responds something like "well yeah I have no whites in my eyes" its stuck with me ever since

Funny enough the very show you used as a fingerless hands example, Powerpuff Girls, has an episode where the girls swap bodies with other characters, Buttercup switching with the Professor, and during this time she tries to pick up the phone as she normally does and continuously drops the phone, as she's 'grabbing' at it open palmed, having never used fingers before.
After the third or so time dropping the phone she angrily exclaims "Professor your hands aren't working!!!" So there you go, an excellent example of the self aware character you're looking for, sans the lore bit.

I also like the no fingers hands! Similarly in OK KO they used circles for their hands whenever the characters weren't doing much or if they were far away! I liked it so much that I even used it in a comic series I made when I was twelve! The only character that didn't have it was a talking cat.

The perpetually closed eyes made me think of Lucoa from Dragon Maid, tho she does open them more often than the trope suggests. Also I love that she has that, which is a favorite trope, in addition to ridiculous boobage which is a least favorite trope of yours

Kind of similar to the eyes in the dark trope, i really like when shadows have eyes and mouths even though realistically they should also be covered in shadow. That’s not super funny but i like how it looks visually.
Murder drones does the hair thing and i think it’s pretty funny, like why do these robots not only have hair but also corsets, thigh highs, and socks w/ garters
There's a really interesting version of the final trout in Homestuck, Jake gets his glasses slapped off and the I dots fall away as if the pupil was a part of the glasses and not the face

Idk if this counts, but my personal favorite trope is soft/quiet dad character with bushy eyebrows that act/cover as their eyes (ex. Flint’s dad from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs)

As someone who goes through a lot of effort trying to make my character designs look good and recognisable from every angle, I do really admire the balls it takes to just have the character look the same from every angle, physics be damned.
8:50 in the Powerpuff Girls there’s an episode where everybody switches bodies and buttercup is in the professors body and tries to answer a phone, but she doesn’t move her fingers because she’s not used to having them so she’s not able to pick up the phone. I’m pretty sure the characters mentioned that they don’t have fingers as being creepy also

the always-closed eyes are called itome charas (糸目キャラ: literally meaning thread/string-eyed characters, but it means slit-eyed characters) they're very, good.
My favourite is when a character gets angry and they litterally go red and steem up like a volcano.
I was not prepared for the Alberta jumpscare, but I will say you left out the daily spring thunderstorms which magically appear on an otherwise clear day only to disappear just as quickly

I vibe with the big anger or malicious aura that surrounds the characters.
It's the kind of saying that speaks to me of either, "Don't mess with me if you know what's good for you," or worse, "Don't make me do something what we'll both regret" without it being said just shown
Unless you're Alucard or Raven, that aura can is now completely visible where everyone can see and now should be aware of.
I love love love the eye glasses trope, I use it in my art all the time, including when I draw myself even if I very rarely actually wear my glasses in real life because I got the wrong prescription.

it's implied in the body swap episode the PPG have a certain way of holding things since when Buttercup was in the Professor's body she can't hold the phone since she's not used to having fingers

The fingerless hands trope makes me think of that scene from Dragon maid where Ilulu had balls for hands but they were just a microscopic collection of tiny hands. Now that thought is stuck with me and I always think about it everytime I see a character handle objects just fine even though they have no fingers 🤣

i love the eyes in the dark trope so much but most of my characters won't work with it due to my love of bioluminescence and fire powers :(
If your setting has supernatural or magical elements you could still use the trope! Magical, amplified darkness could help you there! The Darkness spell in D&D for example can't be dispelled by non magical light or magical light that is weaker than the Darkness spell. So If you add something like that into your setting, then you can still use the trope and have bioluminescence at the same time! : D

I mean, technically with the robot one, if people were thinking about it they could argue that it's for storing RAM or some other robotic thing that helps the android function, but nah. stylistic.
I remember an episode of Pokemon where the girl Brock simps for actually likes him back and at the end of the episode you see her go to her house where she had a Cyndaquil, Snorlax, Swinub, Skitty and an Abra and she says something like “looking into your beautiful eyes reminds me of someone else I met today” 😂

The shut eyes? You have to see Tantei Bakuen Q. One of main characters is called out for having small eyes and yet... he has vision 20/20 XD

My favourite trope is when the MC character gets possessed and afterwards passes out when they get rescued

At least you find the Princess Celestia/Duchess Celestia comparison amusing. I'm sorry if it ever became annoying. You were right, Princess Celestia is almost never allowed to have her face completely covered, but that was also a thing MLP Gen 4 did in general with a lot of characters. Their manes would be completely flipped on the side facing the camera, and a far view was rarely seen.

It wasn’t just done for their shillouette, though. That's also done to show the emotions and expressions of the characters so they don't seem blank when they're most needed.
If I'm not mistaken, epic mickey on the wii also had the mickey ears, like we're capable of fully 3d rendering mickey and his ears still defy all logic

I watched a show where the main character, almost. every. single. episode said "OPEN YOUR EYES ALREADY!" And when that character did, he managed to tell you your entire purpose in life, your past AND your future. (PS, the anime is called A Destructive God Sits Next To Me, its just about a cat- I mean guy and a silly lil goober :3) Another thing that happens is he has a belt and e v e r y s i n g l e c h a r a c t e r pulled his belt and it was just funny to me.

Not for nothin' but PPG was a bad example of the sausage arms/hands thing. They're the only characters in the show (aside from the Rowdy Rough Boys) who have that going on, and it's only because they were made by _SCIENCE_ (like the Rowdy Rough Boys were).
The hair thing is a joy tbh. And yes especially where the MLP princesses are concerned.
Some characters should not take off their glasses, because that shit is CURSED.
