Have you experienced this with Wild or any other natural deodorant. Let us know below 👇
How did you go with the sensitive version of the deodorant?
No, I haven't experienced this with any other kind of deodorants/beauty products.
@@leanne67935 I used the sensitive version (orange blossom and Mandarin)
You have to roll the deodorant to the bottom and then do the steps you mentioned hope this helped ❤
The box should include instructions on how to refill! I only found out you have to twist the base anti clockwise until it won’t anymore, then you press the side buttons and release the base out and refill by watching their video on UA-cam
Same! 😂
When i turn anti clockwise it won't stop, i can keep turning......
Same!!!and I don’t know about no waste because there’s loads of deodorant left round the edges?😂
@@lilacgallery2022 I still use that 😂 Get your fingers in there and spread it on your pits or smooth as much as you can onto the top of the refill.
There is instructions on the box
I've been using Wild since December 2021. Prior to switching, I did do an underam detox with apple cider vinegar and bentonite clay. I am so glad I did that because last time I tried to use a natural deodorant, I couldn't believe the stench from my pits ;-0 A little research pointed me in the direction of suggested detox methods and it made a huge difference. I can actually smell the fragrances of Wild, rather than the BO I had previously. I'm planning to stick with Wild for the foreseeable as I have not had any issues. Sorry to hear about the skin darkening, I agree it would be good for them to mention a very small percentage of customers may experience darkening. I keep hoping they will add some more woody/spicy fragrances for the whole year as opposed to just at Xmas, too.
I had the same Problem with the packaging until i realized that I'm doing it wrong all the time. You need to twist the bottom back until it reaches the bottom of the deodorant otherwise it wont come out if you press the buttons.
Wow! Thank you so much for this. I have been trying to remove mine for months to refill!!! Been scrapping it out and applying. LOL 🤣
@@GTA-bp4vf they have several video and image instructions in their instagram
Yeah but mine just won't go down nomore
If you look closely there is a gap that the side buttons press Into that are only in place when it's totally screwed back
FYI - the buttons seem horrible at first but you have to twist the base of case to the left all the way until it stops moving and THEN the buttons work to be able to refill the case. The buttons won't budge if you don't do that. I keep forgetting about that and I have to seek a how to refill video every time! Oops
Let me give this a try and see! Thanks
finally found a deodorant that works for me. I would suffer with BO no matter what deodorant I use but I started using wild and I no longer get BO. It's great for me, my clothes and my social life. No side effects either as I consider myself to be sensitive skinned but no issues with Wild thankfully.
For me too.
Any issues about refilling are easily solved by you tubing an answer video.
I work as a massage therapist which is sweaty work.
To start stinking over a client is a nightmare.
For the first time in my life I have found a deodorant that actually works.
Really grateful for this product bring available.
Now I've adjusted to Wild I don't have the sweet or smell and I'm menopausal. I also have osteoarthritis but found if you turn the bottom as far left as possible before trying to change the refill it is fine. I also wash the container before adding the new refill. I suffer from numerous allegies, carry epipen, one of the reasons for trying Wild. After 12 months I've not reacted and have tried different scents.
Just wind the container back down until it won't turn anymore, then the buttons can be released. It won't work if it's still "turned all the way up".
They improved the case and now it just pulls out without the release buttons. ❤
A good video. I really needed to know it wasn't just me having trouble replacing a refill. I am 65, have some grip issues and found this process impossible. I needed to get my husband to push the buttons in whilst I pulled! I did it eventually, but the lack of instructions is a design fault- it needed to be stated which way to wind, how you need to remove the cardboard sleeve and that you can pop the little end of the previous refill on top to make good use of all the product.
Thank goodness for UA-cam.
Wow so glad I’ve come across this as I too have experienced the dark pigmentation and I was so confused and was questioning what could have caused this and I’ve only been using wild for the past month. I’ve now had to start using lemon under my armpit to try and clear it up along with constant exfoliating. Now that I’ve seen your video and you’ve said it’s something people are experiencing from this deodorant I’m going to stop using it now.
I’ve been doing laser under my armpits for the past year which has helped in keeping them clear and now this has appeared and messed it all up.
So annoyed by this but so glad I know now it is this deodorant.
Hi, I didn’t have the darkening issue, but I got a terrible itchy rash with sore weals which spread from my underarms down my sides when I used Wild. I didn’t think it could be caused by the deodorant as it was a natural product with natural ingredients, but I ended up with medicated cream from the dr and really strong antihistamines to try and improve it. Apparently it is quite common for the bicarbonate of soda to trigger a skin allergy and that was the problem. When I did some Googling lots of pages about it came up, but like your issue Wild do not warn people 🙁. I found it painful and really upsetting and am back to my usual stick deodorants, which is a shame as I liked the ethos and the scents of Wild.
I reacted to the original Wild version deodorant due to the Bicarbonate of Soda, with angry red blistery rash but their Sensitive version without the bicarbonate of soda I don't react at all to, so thankfully I can still enjoy the ones I like.
I love my Wild deodorant. I always use the sensitive ones, so never have any underarm issues. I also wet shave using a razor, so anything left on the skin is whisked off once a week anyway.
It’s the sodium bicarbonate, it effects some and not others. It should be a warning that you may see skin colour changes either way. It does work but my skin doesn’t like it. I don’t even wear deodorant anymore 😀I just use the ordinary glycolic acid under my arms once every other day and I don’t smell. It’s amazing and last forever, the best hack I’ve been shown for a while
The refills have instructions on how to replace. Also I've found the buttons work fine if you've screwed it down as low as it can go. If you try while it's still up a bit the buttons won't work
Had exactly the same problem! I was thinking about trying the sensitive skin too so will be interested to see how you get on. I ended using my face toner (versed weekend glow) and Ameliorate body lotion to help get rid of the dark skin. I found the scrubs options really irritatated my skin.
That’s a good shout I will try my pixi tonic and see how that goes too.
Hyperpigmentation with bicarbonate soda is very common sadly. Great review. Additionally their advice regarding using sugar and lemon is interesting. Lemon will exfoliate but sensitive skin may not love this, especially with the abrasive sugar causing superficial skin trauma. Milk/yoghurt might be a better option. There is sensitive skin in my house so if we try it we’ll use that range thanks to you 😁
I wish I knew. Thanks for the tips
Yes I had the same issues recently when trying to refill it I thought it was just me with my joints
Thanks for this.
Deodorants such as wild are very thick and leave build up.
You need to exfoliate regularly which causes more irritation.
I think it blocks pores or causes allergy.
My underarms are also darker.
I also tried Sanex aluminum free and had a reaction to it.
Your review is. Excellent. I had trouble with refills - impossible to press in the side buttons and remove. Hopeless!
Thank you. Some people left tips below but if you have trouble write to their customer services they may change/refund you. That’s one thing I think, they do have good customer services 😊
I love it! as I had the same problem as everyone else for refilling. If you persevere you never smell or have wet armpits I don't, I have used it for yrs.
Hey, apparently the sensitive version of the deodorant doesn’t contain some of the ingredients that might be responsible for the skin darkening according to them, in case you feel like looking into it and maybe giving them a shot
Thank you. I keep meaning to. Will take a look 😊
Did you get around to try the sensitive range? I'd love to know your opinions on it. I keep seeing the adverts and it's getting close to making me order some to try 🙈
Before switching to a natural deodorant it's best to do a detox first so just carry wet wipes with you and keep washing your pits all day long, then you'll be ready for a natural deodorant. Wild works really well for me but you have to swipe more than twice to stay fresh all day long.
It does work really well. I didn’t smell at all. I will try at some point again 😊
Hi Jihan, I bought this the other day, but haven't started using it yet. I'm wondering how you get on with the version for sensitive skin? Are happy you with it now? Have found out if the bicarbonate is really the culprit, or was it something else? All the best 😊🧡😊🎈
Hello, I actually didn’t bother as I started using the ordinary glycolic acid under my arms every other day. I put some on a cotton round and get gently rub under my arms. Now I don’t use deodorant at all. The glycolic acid kills the bacteria that causes the smell. I’ve been doing this for about 2-3 months and not only is it cheaper but it’s really evened out my skin too. I think there is a comment from someone who said they use the sensitive one and it’s better as it doesn’t have the bicarbonate soda in, which causes the dark marks 😊❤️
I had the same issue with the buttons. Customer support tried to help and eventually replaced it. It was nice leopard print which wasn’t available anymore so i chose a different colour
It’s frustrating but at least their customer service is good.
I wonder if trying the sensitive versions would prevent the skin darkening issue?
I got a rash from the purple plants one, and decided to give the sensitive line a try as that contains no baking soda, which is often the issue. And as the wild team mentioned that as a possible cause of the darkening skin too, that might be the way to go for you?
Yes it’s that ingredient. I’ve actually stopped all deodorant now and use glycolic acid 3 times a week under my arms. I don’t smell at all now even on hot days and the ordinary bottle lasts for ages. I saw the tip on TikTok 😊
Me too second time jammed and I now have joint issues so looks like I’m gonna have to give up. These are no good for ladies on cancer drugs affects your joints
Hey, thanks for sharing your experience. Have you updated a new one regarding the sensitive wild deo yet?
Has anyone found that your refill packs finish super fast ? I found that mine finished in like 2 weeks ! And I had to get more ! I live in Australia and here the refills are approx $9.99. I just find it so weird as my old deodorants last much longer. I also agree the scent doesn’t last too long too.
I find it transfers really badly, which is extremely annoying when wearing, for instance, a strapless evening dress. This looks really unsightly and you can’t just simply wipe it off it almost stains your clothing. I’m going to be checking my underarm is going forward because I feel like this should definitely be a warning.
I bought my first one at H&B, I just bought my first refill and could not for the life of me, get the bottom to come off as the buttons don’t work. I cannot change my refill 😡
I do have joint issues and it was a bit tricky to open my new case. If it does get stiffer, I won't be happy but good to know I can exchange a faulty case. I'll look out for that darkening effect although it won't bother me that much
I’ve just bought my first product and agree the 2 buttons are difficult to depress I did struggle to open the case. To soon to see any darkening but if It happens I’ll let both you and wild know.
Thank you please do let us know 😊
However, I just tried to refill mine and I twisted the base at least 50 times, really, and it never stopped. The tiny buttons on the side are ridiculously tiny and I can’t move them.
Right! I’m sure they could tweak the packaging a little to make it easier.
Yes, I had exactly the same problem and I'm on my second packaging! Am giving up on it now.
That happened to me too with my first one . I emailed but never got a message back so I just went out and bought another .
I’ve been using wild for about 4 months now and I’m trying really hard to persist with it but I feel like the smell wears off really quickly and I don’t smell great at the end of the day 🥴
Yes I agree. I’ve gone down the aluminium freer route with brands I liked before instead now x
Yes same experience here!
On smelling the box, the jasmine and mandarine fragrance is very subtle. I find the coconut and vanilla stronger and it really lasts.
They updated the packaging because I just made the switch and there were instructions on how to replace the deodorant printed on the box
Really hope you get sorted out x
I have literally just got mine however i cannot put the refill in so i am really disappointed also the way they put my name on is for the price terrible i could of literally done that myself. Not happy at all. So it has been a total waste of money as i cant use it.
How can i get a refund as i am extremely disappointed with the product plus so much waste with the packaging
I love it!
Hi Jihan, thank you so much for your review. I really appreciate your sharing especially about the discolouration of the skin. I've just discovered a product called 'Fussy' it's a natural stick deodorant. Have you any experience of trying that brand. I haven't seen much reviews on it.
Hello! No I haven’t but I’m going to check it out and see. Thanks for the tip 😊
Thanks for the honest review. I think I’ll pass.
You’re welcome. Give the glycolic acid trick a go. It may work for you and then you can be deodorant free!
Thank you so much! I'm not buying it ❤
At the risk of sounding insensitive... What do the dark patches actually do to you? Does it itch or is it just an aesthetic thing? I really don't care if my armpits look dark, it's not like I can see them...
No doesn’t itch just looks uneven in the summer when I’m sleeveless that’s all. And if anyone has to be sleeveless for jobs etc etc it’s good to know. Not insensitive thanks for the question 😊
By the look at the photo it looks like there’s dirt on them, so I don’t think it’s a pleasant experience going around looking like you have dirty armpits
There's nothing wrong with the buttons, if they're stiff then you haven't wound the cartridge back down to the bottom of the case first. Once you wind it down the buttons are very easy to press.
They replaced mine and told me it was bad stock of you look at the DM’s you can see. Others have also said they had the issue. Maybe it’s been solved.
If it doesn’t click down when turning left then push down at the top to loosen. It should then turn until it stops. Press the buttons either side to release.
Very useful information. Thanks for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
Love wild. No problems
Good for you!
Ive just finished my first Wild. I find it very good during the day but the next morning, i can really smell not so nice!! I wash every day, but find it very very difficult to remove the previous day's layer. My skin feels very slimey. Has anyone else noticed this and could anyone suggest a remedy please!
Someone told me wild isn't for coloured skin, and i should try something else best for my skin. What a waste of money. I'm so disappointed.
I saw another comment like this too. It’s annoying. They just need a clear disclaimer saying could cause discolouration on deeper skin tones so we are in formed
Its the bakingsoda thats the issue! For darker skinn its a NO!
I will have to look into this baking soda thing. The complaints online have been from lots of different people and they claim it’s the bacteria you have. I just wish they had a warning rather explaining to people after the affect. Poor product info for customers I think.
I had the worst allergy reaction to this deodorant.
I think the bicarbonate of soda isn’t for everyone
Two containers both broke waste of money
So I'm not the only one who can't release the refill
If you contact them they do have good customer service. They can help you send you a new one
@@jihanannesa Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm now watching your whole video, and coming up to your feedback about the dark patch. Are you still using this deodorant?
I won’t be buying it again. I’m sorry to say
