I've literally watched this like a trillion times. The whole vid is nuts but the crystal castles section is maybe one of the most phenomenal things ive ever seen. youre awesome zesty
Frag Video review of "Ape Index" (2021) by Zesty "Ape Index" is something to behold. This highly experimental and "out there" frag video is created by Zesty, whom is often confused for zeightgeist and shitter Zesty Jesus. Most commonly seen on the demoman and soldier classes, he is well known for his "bany react to fenomeno vid" (2020), in a case of blatant aimbot used by former tf2 player fenomeno. This intro is unlike something I have seen. Despite using only tf2 tools such as lawena to recreate, incredible cinematography is used to invoke both mystery and confusion for the average viewer. Despite me rating many intros highly, this one may possibly be my favorite. A strange mix of the title, editing choice, and use of font create a spacey, out-of-world experience even before the frags begin. Zesty takes advantage of strange music choice to create a new and unrealized type of team fortress 2 frag video. He keeps it fresh with the use of sporadic camera flyby's and angles, while not being over edited and filtered. Each player brings something new to the video, and the vibrant colors make you feel that something supernatural is happening. I rate Ape Index a solid 9.3/10.
i am not even a frag video person but this is just incredible, has to be my favorite frag video in a very long time

holy shit this is so good
Wonderful video! How do you get the povs of the players without STV bars but with the text of who killed who?
Lawena recording tool has a HUD in it called "killnotices only" which I modified slightly. That gets rid of all the other HUD features
u really went crazy with this video
Good job
