What a thing it is to hear your reading. It resonates. And TY for it. I hear him putting pressure on himself to rise to his perception of perfection. He is still thinking he has to do something to be loved or lovable. And perfect is the standard he's rushing toward so he can be good enough for being 24/7 together. I know this since I did the same thing, it's a twin thing. I had to be firmly guided, mentored to switch from perfection into identifying defining love first as self love and applying bits of love at a time to take up the space where perfectionism once lived as the demanding foreman. Self love cures the pressure of and slip and fails perfectionism brings us to. It's a set up for an un-attainable rank.
