The fact you so casually abort the lap on a world record chasing lap time just to go back to the garage is just everything. Wow. Real skills.
'Is just everything' what does that even mean?
@@Whyamihere88 it means he likes it use your brain
I'm glad I found this video. The tip about curb usage under braking explains why I've been struggling to get into tight corners well. I've been using a lot of curb under braking so will have to try less curb, thank you!
Thank you for explaining the brake bias and now I understand why I was losing the rear, would love to see you explain how to create a full setup ❤ keep up the content!
You’re welcome! I’m happy to hear you found the video useful
Loved this. Thanks. For the next video maybe do a deep dive into setup for any track in F1 23?
Running in 1080p is such a great help. I went from 4k to 1080p and like right away found a tenth or two at every lap. I honestly couldn't believe how much it helped.
Awesome tips, love your videos. A..ahem brake down of braking would be really cool! Discussing threshold and trail braking techniques.
Really nice tips Brendon! Nothing like to have a 2x World Champion giving us mortals some inputs about the new game 😅 Keep going with the good work and good luck in the next F1 Esports Championship 😎 Sending you positive vibes from Portugal
Thank you so much Johnny! I really appreciate your kind comment and support 😁
Brendon, I thank you. The brake bias tip has been a game changer for me. Fantastic video. I look forward to more 👍
You’re welcome Sam, I’m happy to hear you found the brake bias tip useful
Would love to hear more about gear selection through tight corners. I tend to use the lowest gear I can so the engine braking helps rotate the car (a habit formed from my motorcycle racing where this is crucial) but I see you faster guys stick with a relatively high gear (e.g. 3rd when I'd be using 2nd) which seems to provide much better drive out of the corner, oddly, (at least according to the lap time) but when I try that I struggle to get the car rotated into the apex nicely... Would love to hear some thoughts and tips on this.
you need to trail brake and use the bias accordingly in different turns. engine braking is basically non existent on the game unfortunately
@@jackassdude2010 there seems to be some engine braking as I struggle to turn in and make the apex when I use higher gears but then lose time on the exit in lower gears (and probably minimum speed is too low). I'm trail braking, just need to work on more consistency with braking and turn in points I think. And yes, play around with brake bias a bit more to help rotation.
Really appreciate the brake bias tip. You can tell my level of the game as i wouldnt have thought of that 🤦♂️ i really struggled in brazil turning into the corners whereas i was doing fine in imola. Looking at this video its clearly a brake bias problem. All the best this year!!
Fantastic news I’m happy to hear this helped you Jamie! Thank you as well i appreciate the support
great tips mate thank you very much
Really useful video man, this is my first game where i will run no asissts (turning off abs) so the focus on kerbs and general braking advice is so useful!! ❤️❤️
Fantastic news I’m glad you found it useful! Happy to help
Thanks Champ! I love that video....will support and recommend your channel in my Simleague :))
You’re welcome! Thank you so much as well 😁 i appreciate your support and help
@@BrendonLeigh Well deserved - for sure. Stay as authentic as you are! :) and im looking forward to new tutorial videos from you :)))
Great to see that you chose Alfa Romeo! Grazie Mille from an Alfisti
Very informative, I appreciate the insight. 👍
I’m glad to hear you found the video useful
Thank you very much for your help,
I have a question about tire heat There are 3 numbers next to the tires up and down, what does each one actually mean?
Great explanation Brendon as always. I wish you the best in pursuing your 3rd world championship. Thanks for your insights when I get the game soon
Thank you so much! These kinda comments make my day 😁
@Brendon Leigh bro of course, you are very encouraging and helpful 👍🏽
great video brendon! I think handling in f1 23 is much better than previous f1 22 even though im only playing it on my xbox series x controller.
Thank you I’m glad it helped
Thanks! Gl in exports 🔥
Thank you!
Thank you great explanation.
You’re welcome! I’m happy to hear the support so thank you
tks Bro !
You’re welcome! Happy to help :)
I was wondering why I was loosing my back end in the breaking zones. Gonna have to learn to adjust those break bias', thanks for the info!
I’m happy to hear you found the video useful
Thanks for the info Brendon Going to give it a a go now 👍
You’re welcome Roy! Hopefully it helps
Very nice 👍👍
hey mate, I just found your youtube do you have any tips for getting assist off i am learning to race without traction control but it is really hard.
tip #1: choose red bull over ferrari in leagues because you gain 7 seconds even on equal cars on a 50% race due to lower tyre wear
love you Brendon, hope you can get 3rd World Champion !!!
Thank you Vitus 😁
does it matter what steering wheel you use, was thinking with going from a thrustmaster to a fanatec, would that be necessary
Yea I’ve been really having to adjust my break balance mid race bc it didn’t feel right and I was falling back
Brendon nice video, I am a casual f1 player, I tried no traction this year because they said its easier, I did notice it but its still too hard for a noob player like me, I just spin sometimes alot and my times are way slower. So I decided to go back to traction, but my times are still quite slower compared to the other users who use traction on the leaderboard, I have alot of room for improvement but I don't know how or in what areas as it seems like im driving at my max and yet im 2 seconds behind the top traction control user. Any tips? And also it would be really amazing if you did a video testing no traction vs full traction times to see from a pro player how much time do you actually lose using traction. Cheers mate thanks for the video!
Thank you Alen
I think my baseline advice would be to keep smooth in your driving style and I will be making a video on no traction control extremely soon so that’ll hopefully help you in more detail 😁
I hope you become a 3 time champion once!!
I hope so to! I appreciate your support ❤️
I hope you become a three time world champion twice. 😉🤣
I'm new to his game but I like it
Any advice as to why my tyre temps clocks out at a 100° on minimum PSI ?
Any tips brendon on extra corner grip without wing adjustment Azerbaijan is a pain for me
So tyre temps between 70 and 110? I heard that hards had a different window compared to hard and soft, like one between 80 and 95, the other 85 and 100 etc, do you know perhaps which are the right temp Windows for every compound? Ty Great video as always❤
Of course I can’t give the exact numbers as that’s critical to my performance in the esports season but your numbers are in the correct area! Thank you for the compliment as well 😁
Curious as to many F1 utubers have the steering wheel upper chest/chin level. Seems arms/hands would start tingling a few laps in, NO?
Hey bro!
Can you make a deep video about racing without racing line?
I just can't get consistent lap times using it. 😊
Hey bud, for sure will do! I’m also planning videos on no traction control and abs coming soon
So with curb usage how would I go about attacking and braking on them without say losing speed or spinning
Example for me are austria turn 3 if I ride the curb and brake around the 100M board pretty much most the time I will not lose enough speed and miss the apex.
And another example is COTA if I tey and use the full width and curbs I end up scrubbing speed off on those curbs usually on the outside into heavy braking zones. Would it be best to avoid them or use them?
Flat kerbs vs raised kerbs
In Austria the braking kerbs are extremely flat compared to other kerbs, other tracks like cota are higher/bigger kerbs that cause the car to bottom out. That’s why the difference in car performance in there
You save me with the breaking set ups.
Fantastic news I’m happy to hear this
Thanks the video!
Let me ask please:
Should I buy the game for PC or console? I have fanatec wheel set, I've been playing on xbox until now. Is PC better, or is there any difference in traction or something?
You’re welcome! I would personally always go pc, you have access to way more games and hardware combos
Couldn't help but notice that almost all your settings under the custom setup aren't anything like the actual released game version.
Spoiler: I am totally new to simracing/racing at all. The tip to have the break bias at 56% just changed the game for me. that is my new default setting. but I was wondering: Is there a "general" setup you can recommend for all tracks that is good to just "learn" the tracks, assists turning off step by step while dont having to go into detailled setups on each track? I want to learn the tracks first and have fun before taking a technical deep dive since it is quite overwhelming
why am i so slow in straight line with all cars that i pick any recommend on my settings?
Do you think this year it will be beneficial to change break bias during the race depending on the corner or is this still not worth doing?
For sure! I change the brake bias a few times in qualifying already so the race definitely will
Would you be able to do a one of your guide videos on break bias as it seems to be essential for getting the most out of f123?
It’s so strange - I still have no problem braking on curbs but can’t accelerate on them without spinning but you say it’s the opposite? Are you left handed or something?
Great video. Can you do setups please?
Thank you! And for sure I will do
What settings would you recommend for fanatec csl dd? Really struggled with set up on F1 22.
I will make a settings video for you!
In game I run the ffb at 70 and everything else turned off but with understeer enhance turned on
Thanks 👍
I’m 1thousandth 500th in the Lap times and use a controller. Is it better to use a steering wheel over a controller.
Some assetto corsa competizione tips mate
what is the best way to charge ERS
Does FPS affect the kerb physics on F1 23 like it did on F1 22 where it was fine to set to 60 FPS?
Yeah it does, 60 fps is faster for sure
You forgot the most important tip: which cheat codes to use with Cheat Engine.
Congrats crack ;)
Future vid of the F1 2023 eSports champion!! Let's go in that Alfa Brendon it's your year to show them who the O.G GOAT is 3x Champion it's coming
Thank you Cody 😁
What track is this?
i really need to invest in a raching wheel, playing with a controller can only take you so far it seems!
there’s a guy who plays on controller, Ben2K, and he is consistently top 20 on time trial leaderboards
How about a video on managing traction control?
Actual Skill Issue
@@Aim____Higher I know, which is why a vid would help lol
For sure I will make this video for you
@@BrendonLeigh Thanks! I'm trying to make the transition from the full traction to medium or off but I'd love to learn how to not spin haha. I definitely don't step on it on exiting a turn but I'm wondering what's needed to make that gain in lap time possible. Thanks again.
i started the game with zero assits and learnt from there now cant lose a race and your EA comps have cheats so pointless
third one
Nice!! Thank you for watching Yigit
You speak like a young Quentin Wilson lol
Dunno who that is but thank you, I think? 😂
U want real tips to be faster. Get a racing setup of 5000 euros atleast and boom your 2 sec per lap quicker
Pretty unnecessary amount for a proper direct drive setup but I know what you mean
Why do you all claim to be pro F1 esports World champions but then race in noob view because its faster. You should all be locked to cockpit cam only and no assists.
What's the point in having a nice sim setup with wheel etc and then using a view where you're outside the car xD
i wish u luck bro unless i see an anti cheat load up on my pc like other ea games do but not in f1 even tho they have owned it since 21 22 than u can forget about 3rd championship my brother.
second commentt
Ayyy let’s goo! Nice to see you here again Demis
