@@grappetsail Ain't the intraweb grand? It took 8 years for you to get a reply, amazing, yet here we are. I am very well, thanks! I was just telling my sweet baby about ISB, and how they were, and are, relevant. Today she became astounded by some of their lyrics - Hear the old prayers! Find the wise players! Do you find yourself listening to them in times of great joy as well as great sorrow? I do. They have helped me so much in mourning, and grief, and sometimes just remind me of those beautiful lessons learned first in the days of LSD: sometimes they prop open that door, you know? I looked up indeed! Thank you, my new dear friend, for replying. This world needs these messages of hope and love. It's like we've known each other all along, and I am grateful.
Good question, but no. ISB came out of a Scottish musical tradition, but then they got psychedelic in the 60's. They played at Woodstock but i dont think their set went over very well. Even the hippies were not quite ready for cosmic consciousness..
My buddy in high school introduced me to this album/band in 1988. There was paper involved. Nice to revisit it now.
I recall first listening to this gem in the Navy barracks, Quonset Point, Rhode Island, late 1971. There will never be another ISB. Excellent!
Terrific LP, Jim. 👍I bought mine new. Small world: I grew up just north of QP in the 50s and 60s.
The first song by ISB that I listened to. It felt like the first kiss.
Important in expanding my musical horizons....and me head....
People say the later albums are not as good, they are wrong! I LOVE this song!
agree
except the songs that only the girls sing
Funny how this song returns to me over the years, over and over again, in only one song...
Great. I remember listening to this album on a rainy Sunday afternoon at a girfriend's apartment. Thanks for posting.
J'ai le vinyle quel abum atypique ❤ très Psychedelic folk
