Persona 4 Arena Ultimax combo video showcasing what Kanji Tatsumi is capable of, be that old, new, practical or impractical.
COMMENTS
Kanji is quite a simple character to understand simply for two reasons, I've used to play him online in the first version of the game and if you want to do a ton of damage, you'll be saving all your meter for the very end, making combo building rather easy to understand since you filter out the meters in the rest of the combo. The combos you're seeing are rather straight forward although there are some specific parts where you have to delay your chain in order to hit the opponent as low as you can to continue the combo. Also in order to be able to air grab the opponent in time after the grab super, you either have to start the grab super from the other corner or right in your corner. Anything inbetween won't connect in time either because Kanji doesn't run into the screen fast enough or his air grab doesn't reach the opponent.

Yeah, if you play Kanji, he will likely get some of the biggest damage output in the game from what I've seen

If only I fought more Kanji players that did stuff like this instead of spamming that invincible grab over & over. 😔 but this was great!

@@Axton1061 Yo, I forgot I even made this comment. This was back when I was straight cheeks at this game. I've definitely improved alot since the recent rerelease. I made this comment out of my strong dislike for Kanji players since I never knew how to avoid their grabs & just felt like he was an extremely cheap character. Nowadays, I enjoy playing against Kanji. Lol
To speak for those kanji players out there, including myself, these combos are awesome and I'd love to learn all of them. Sadly these combos dont work because they'll recover too quickly ):

If a combo isn't a true combo, the counter will turn yellow, so yeah, while probably not practical, these are possible

Been seeing so many Kanji vids that involve fatal counters and/or spending a ton of meter, what're good BnB's for him? Or does challenge mode teach enough for that?
Fat_Mamba The challenges go over most basic combos you need and you'll learn how to modify them slightly for more damage. His videos all consist of full health combos which always take all his meter in awakening.

Fat_Mamba Ya, you get the gist. I didn't play him much in Ultimax but did in the original, but he definitely got a bunch of stuff up his sleeve people online have thrown at me.

+Nidham Honestly? Probably the appeal. If I could play Guilty Gear or BlazBlue with other people I'd play those instead.
well, the mechanics is more or lesd the same except the persona, but this game IS much more simpler. Trust me, i played GG since the xx series until now, GG has stricter timing and more complex defense, but with a reward if you manage to advance defence the tension meter goes up like BAM, ready for counter moves. oh, and variety for each character is really wide in GG try sol and slayer, those guys the same close range fighter but sol is a rushdown but slayer is a tricky punisher
same can be said for your shooting games. what makes valorant or overwatch different as it looks the same what makes them different. but it's different games that you know because you played them, but us fighting game players know the differences and they are different, but to you they look the same.
