Another thing to note about faire square and stressing how important the thwomp or zap orb are for placing around the star area is that uncontested, a player can walk away with 10 - 15 stars max in ONE turn. All the player needs is to activate a super shroom near the star space and get somewhere between 25 - 30, purchase the stars at night (preferably when they're worth 5 coins), and keep going the route with whomp. If the stars align perfectly for you and you have around 95 coins, you can gain an absurd lead over everyone to the point where only chance time can can stop you.
I've always found it hilarious how Boo, who literally weighs absolutely nothing, causes the platforms on Clockwork Castle to fall, yet thicc bois DK and Bowser somehow don't.
Two things I like about E. Gadd's Garage when looking at the background details. One the Teleporters tell you where they go. (the arrows.) Two, there is a physical map on the board that also shows the star location.
It's no coincidence that this is by far your longest video to date and my favourite Mario Party game at the same time. The strategic nuances presented in this title are simply on another level from the others and that's what makes it so good in my book. That is due to the day-night-mechanic omnipresent in the game, be it on the boards or within minigames, the completely perfected item system, as well as the sheer variety of boards, featuring only 2 out of 6 boards which operate on a traditional star system, making each of them very unique.
The Bob-omb Orb actually does have an advantage over the Twomp Orb: it increases the odds of landing on bad spaces. If there's a place with several bad spaces in a row, placing a Bob-omb Orb right in front of them is a good idea. You may even use math to your advantage. Let's say your opponent is 7 to 8 spaces away from a bad space. Placing the orb on the 6th space means that if they roll a 10, they land on the 8th, while a 9 or 8 becomes a 7. If they roll lower, they still have a higher chance of landing on those bad spaces on their next turn. So not only does the Bob-omb Orb slow down opponents, but it also makes them more likely to land where you want them to.
Also, it could cause them to land on a bad Happening space or Bowser space, or a yellow orb! Thwomp can't do this because he can only be placed on Red and Blue spaces.
37:25 I think the Bob-omb has its benefits, because there’s a chance that the remaining roll might cause the victim to land on an undesired space. Also, at 45:00, I’d actually recommend placing the Orb close to the start. During one of my games, I had 2-3 Klepto Orbs near the beginning of the board, and the other players just kept having terrible luck of landing on it and being sent back like they were in Monopoly jail.
Legit this is one of my favorite series on UA-cam. I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of time spent researching, recording, and editing that was done for this. And this has a very high production value with all the charts and relevant footage. I’m honestly blown away by it.

Also, the New Super Mario Bros. World 2 Zikedown video has a time travel gag in the World 2-2 section that leads to the Cashapult section of this video. Bet ya' didn't see that one, eh?
I can't believe you made this video without mentioning the most important new aspects: the new taunts. "Hey, stinky!" and "you're lousy!" deserved their own time in the spotlight.
For Throw Me a Bone, in my experience the cursor will always move starting in the direction it was last moving in. Also worth noting you can bank-shot the bones off the pillars for greater distance, but doing so in such a way that you don't hit any pillars is rarely very feasible.
Fun fact not mentioned in Body Builder: If the RNG is kind to you and you get all 4 pieces to be the same color, the robot does a unique animation! Each robot color has its own special animation. Don't count on seeing it all that often however, as the luck pans out to a 1/81 chance
I love your Identifying Luck: Mario Party series so, so much. This installment is no exception! Thanks for all the time, effort, and clear love and passion you put into these videos.
Regarding the Bob-omb orb, I can see a use for it that you can't use the thwomp for. You could in theory use it to increase the chance that an opponent lands on your piranha plant space or something, and loses half their coins.
I can’t tell you how much I love the series. This is my go to whenever I recommend some sort of documentary or long-form video content. Cant wait for the final (?) one!
ZoomZike uploading a 5 hour video of obscure and interesting tips and facts about a game where the Sun and Moon go into a everlasting argument? That's more rare than seeing a shooting star up close and personal y'all.
This is my all time favorite series first of all, but when I looked at the time stamp I literally smiled ear to ear. Haven’t watched it yet but looking forward, I know a ton of effort must have been put into making this!
For the orb machine in E.Gadd's Garage, the prices actually become cheaper depending on your placement. If your in last, I think having 5 being placed equals 75-90 coins.
In 2006 I got this game as a Christmas gift from a relative with the Mic included and for the next 10 years, I would have an absolute blast playing this game with friends and by myself. This and Melee were the two games I'd go to when I had nothing better to do. I knew there were other Mario Party games but I didn't much care because this one was so good and I'm so happy to see that a bunch of people agree it's the best Mario Party. This video was 5 hours long but to me it didn't even feel like half of that. Upon first seeing this video I watched the first 2 hours without realizing it and finished it up over the next day. Just about every single thing you identified in this video has not only given me new light to be better at this game, but made me love this game even more. I'm a new fan that's always looked at the videos but never really watched them due to not owning the other games but now, I'm excited to watch the rest of these and can't wait to see the one for 7!
3:45:21 For those in the know, this next part is known as the TRG method, which was popularized when the collab channel TheRunawayGuys accidentally found this out and abused the hell out of it during their play through of Mario Party 6.
Treasure Trawlers will actually let you complete an input regardless if the timer ran out slightly before said input was initiated. This means that a lot of the time this minigame is literally decided at the last second and hitting the A button at the last second is a very good idea if you think you have good positioning or even if you don't
What a beast of a video. And the best part is that from now on all the Mario Parties that are left are the ones I'm looking forward to the most. MP7 because it's my fav, MP8 because I grew up with it and MP9 and 10 because it's gonna be hilarious hearing you rip them apart for 4 hours each
I love how the trap orbs both here and in 7 do the little activation flourish as you pass over the space _before_ them! Such a subtle nice touch to add to the "oh crap" factor!
I know many would hate Faire Square for the star mechanics on it, but, in my opinion, that makes it one of the most chaotic boards in the series. If multiple players can get to the Star Space when it costs 5 coins, there could be literally 50 stars in play, which makes Chance Time all the more insane.
Everyone! Reunite, stop the fire, we are gonna witness sheer beauty once again. We waited months, expecting, it finally arrived and it is gonna be GLORIOUS! Joking aside thanks for this zoomzike this videos are melted gold
Waiting for the sixth installment of this series was absolutely well worth the wait, love the effort and research you've done for the entire series thus far!
A nice bit of extra info about the snack(bone) orb is that it doesn't stop the chain chomp from stealing your star. It makes the Chomp skip your space instead. Because it doesn't touch the space you're on, it can not steal. So if you are sharing the space with someone else, and their snack orb activities, the Chomp will jump over both of you, and both you and the other player stars will not be stolen. It's even possible that all 3 of the players are sharing the same spot, and one of their snack orbs activities. Making a rare 3 star steal into a wasted Chain Chomp.
4:14:53 I had this moment from way back in 2017 in the early time I played Brutal Mario Party 6 and it was hilarious. What happened was the AI managed to semi-softlock themselves for an entire minute because they were jumping on their teammates head. It was short lived, but a classic moment I still remember. I've never been able to replicate it though.
I wanna give this tip for the traditional boards here: for things like paratroopa that may backfire later down the line, throw them on star spaces, so that way they'll eventually be deleted.
I was just thinking to myself a couple days ago "You know, I haven't seen ZoomZike in awhile! Wonder what he's up to!" And to see this pop into my feed was incredibly exciting! Definitely worth the wait, espcially since 6 was the Mario Party that I personally grew up with! I was 9 when the game came out, and I had managed to completely miss Mario Party up to that point so this was the first one I got to play and I LOVED it. Can't wait to learn the secrets to cheesing it!
It's important to note that the Bullet Bill does not let you choose your direction at a junction, it picks one at random. So that is a very important thing to take into consideration as you might be tempted to think you'll get the person in front of you, only for the Bullet Bill to take you the other way. Not to mention that it can lead you away from the star this way too. Unfortunately, I learned that the hard way. Speaking of stars, I believe it also causes you to bypass star spaces and you don't collect any orbs (similar to how Mega Mushrooms function in Mario Party 4).
3:10:56 WAIT IS THAT ROSALINA IN MARIO PARTY 6- Yet again another winner of a video! Only complaint is that it isn't six hours long, but at this point trying to keep up with the number in the title is unrealistic. Definitely can agree how pretty nighttime versions of minigames look, especially Treasure Trawlers. Also one advantage Netplay has over in-person play is the usage of codes so abusing Star Spawn locations and (*shudder*) having to play Goomba Wrangler isn't an issue.
@@zoomzike Aw man, I was looking forward to my childhood ones, 8 and DS. :( But fair. If they all end up being several hour colossuses like this one is, I think it's fine to want it to end eventually. Even the last ones got to be 1 to 2 hours long, and this one speaks for itself. '^^
A 5 hour long video on Mario Party 6 is so impressive and captivating. MP6 was one of those games I remember seeing on the back of my Mario Party 7 GameCube box bundle and because I liked Mario Party 7, I wanted to give 6 a try but was unable to find it in stores. It took me a couple of years to find it used at a GameStop, but I loved every second of it. I strangely remember the first 4 player mini game I got which was Blooper Scooper and the last one was Tricky Tires.
2:08:10 the bells are a pinch at this junction if you have 5 spaces remaining. Regardless of which direction you go, you are guaranteed to hit one of the two happening spaces unless there is a trap in your way which can only be a bomb. It's pretty evil if DK is there.
very glad this found its way into my recommended! - took like 2 weeks and three viewing sessions to finish it but very glad i did, love this series to death and especially 6 (i'll admit i prefer 3 just a bit more so it also made me happy to hear you mention it). it's cool to have everything about the game laid out in so much detail. learned a ton, feel oddly validated to hear some strategies my friends and i have found "optimal" over time directly shared here, and am kinda amazed by just how much there is to it all. will definitely be rewatching this, and referring to any given section when i need it :)

ZoomZike, I really enjoy these videos. It’s pretty impressive how you go over each game of the Mario Party games. From the boards, to the items and the mini games, you do a great job with these videos. Keep up the good work.
I don't know what I loved more, the humor, the thoroughness, the multiple time travels, there's so much here. It's all incredible and informative. I shall be sharing this as much as I can.
Ok so here’s the thing about the Round of Miracles favouring one side over the other. Because, as you note, there is no feasible way to select who is going to appear in either spot, you can consider the selection process of who participates to be a random combination of two players from the game. One of the players will necessarily be on the good side of the trade, and one will be on the bad side. We can then assume without loss of generality that the losing party can go on the left side, which will result in a net transfer to the right side. Thus while the direction is “rigged”, the process is still just as fair and random as if trades were provided in both directions. It’s entirely possible or even likely that you have come to the same conclusion yourself but working it out in a slightly more formal manner was a fun thought exercise.
I've been thinking this for years since I saw his mp5 video and I finally found a comment talking about it. I don't get why he makes such a big deal about it. All it means is that you know who will get screwed a little earlier than in older titles. It's not like it prefers *Mario* or *Luigi*, it prefers the character first selected (which is any of them at equal chance). Is the anger just a bit? I honestly don't get the big deal.

I appreciate the mutual enthusiasm for Mario Party videos, but get it together, man!

I can't believe you made this video without mentioning the most important new aspects: the new taunts.
"Hey, stinky!" and "you're lousy!" deserved their own time in the spotlight.
Never thought I'd see the day of a 5 HOUR video about Mario Party without it being about a 50-turn game of the game itself.
The loop around all the way back to the Mario Party Advance video is the type of lore I live for. And thus the Wacky Watch arc is finally complete.
I can’t tell you how much I love the series. This is my go to whenever I recommend some sort of documentary or long-form video content. Cant wait for the final (?) one!
mario party sounds like the most skillfull game imaginable in the way you explained it.
This is easily my favorite Mario Party game. I’ve been waiting for this day and I’m so happy it’s finally here
ZoomZike uploading a 5 hour video of obscure and interesting tips and facts about a game where the Sun and Moon go into a everlasting argument?
That's more rare than seeing a shooting star up close and personal y'all.
The Coin Star being gone is sadder than anything else the Mario series could kick up.

The sixth chapter of an amazing series made by Zoomzike, Identifying Luck: for Mario party 6!
Nobody tell him about the advance video
@@Meese12 hey, at least the timelines converge in this video
Can you believe how expensive this game is on Amazon?
It is worth a whopping $124.68! That's outrageous.
3:45:21 For those in the know, this next part is known as the TRG method, which was popularized when the collab channel TheRunawayGuys accidentally found this out and abused the hell out of it during their play through of Mario Party 6.
I get perfect serotonin every time I hear you shout "MMMMMAARIO PARTY!"
He says it with such genuine joy and excitement :^)
The quality of this channel cannot be dismissed. Seriously, I appreciate the effort and work you put into this.
I can't believe you did all of this without an editor! It's so clean-looking! Fantastic work!
We’re back to the madness that is Mario Party! So glad I can finally binge this one!
A 5 hour in-depth video about one of my favorites games? I'm falling asleep to this forever. Thank you.
Great to see this! I've heard some creators say they spend most of their time editing their projects. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much!!
I wanna give this tip for the traditional boards here: for things like paratroopa that may backfire later down the line, throw them on star spaces, so that way they'll eventually be deleted.
I can't believe it. It's been a long journey, but it's nice to finally see it happen. Good job zike
I fell asleep to this playlist and woke up to this video. There’s still more to watch…
I have never been more excited to see a video in my feed than seeing those magical words, “Identifying Luck: Mario Party 6”. Awesome job as always.
It's here at last! Can't imagine the sheer amount of work that goes into these videos, but they've all been fantastic!
This is the kind of thing I need after getting in trouble with HR while not actually doing anything wrong. Thank you Zike for producing this!!
The big ass grin I had on my face during the control Schtick segment, I was looking forward to it the whole vid
5 Hours?!?! No wonder this took so long to get out lol, but this is gonna be amazing!
You have been the inspiration for me planning a idea called Mario Party:Minecraft Edition. Thanks for that.
Congratulations on finishing this absolute behemoth! I think it’s safe to say that we are all proud of you for this accomplishment! 💜
3:10:56 WAIT IS THAT ROSALINA IN MARIO PARTY 6-
Yet again another winner of a video!
This gonna be good, since it was several months in the making.
(Also, small question, will MPDS be covered in this series?)
I'm currently only planning to do up to Mario Party 7; I'll see how I feel after that

Been waiting years for my favorite mario party to be covered! What a treat!
I played Mario Party 7 hundreds of times as a kid on road trips, GOD I AM SO EXCITED
Ah, yes. The joy of zoomzike injecting 5 hours of logic directly into my brain.
Also absolutely agree that 3 and 6 are the best mario parties around.

Each Identifying Luck video just gets more unhinged. ZoomZike villain origin story. Happy for them
Great video as always ZoomZike.
It really feels like throughout the last few months you turned it around after working on this for so long and pushed through to get it finished which paid off!
This surprisingly isn’t the longest in depth analysis video about a video game on UA-cam! I remember watching a 7 hour gen 3 Pokémon video a couple years ago. But this is still really amazing!! Like I don’t even want to know how many hundreds of hours it most have taken to me this video. Keep up this amazing work because I don’t think there are many people out there that would be willing to do this type of stuff! You are really amazing!!!

Zoomzike and Summoning Salt in the same 7 days….life is good
Ok so here’s the thing about the Round of Miracles favouring one side over the other.
