My son was 15 months the first time we flew with him. We went from Illinois, down to Florida to visit my dad. Best advice I have is choose an early morning flight where you’re waking him up and he’ll be tired and want to go back to sleep, or a time when he normally would nap! Lol good luck!!
Gosh, isn’t Liam the sweetest little boy. Mindy, I can relate to the hot flashes from cortisone shots. I get them every single time right after my knee injection! I felt so validated when you said it because I thought it was just me!
I've heard Sticky Notes are one of the best activities for toddlers on a plane. Come up with different games you can play with them, and they can be stuck to anything...Mindy's nose, Liam's nose, Larry's nose, the seat, the window, etc.. And that's major entertainment for them. You can draw and write on the sticky notes too. Have fun with them! 😀
All three of my children are allergic to dairy to some degree. My youngest can still eat a little bit of dairy, like one yogurt a day and a little cheese but she cannot tolerate whole milk or ice cream. We use the brand Ripple milk. My daughter loves it and I also use So Delicious coconut milk for recipes. Good luck with everything! I hope your baby feels better soon.💕
I hope your shoulder gets better soon that really sucks 😔 Tips for taking a baby on a plane is lots of snacks and new toys they've never played with before. The kids drawing tablets, pop its etc
We just took a 5-6hr flight with our 16 month old daughter. And she is a busy girl. Pack lots of toys and snacks. Fidget books (Amazon) are a life saver. Let him release his energy before the flight. If he naps in a sleepsack, pack one for the plane so he can get cozy. If you do screen time, we watched bluey and ms Rachel a bit too.
My daughter had an issue with whole milk after drinking it for some months. We started her at 1yr old and at about 1.5 yr old she started having bad bowel and we eventually tried a bunch of milks and whole milk but lactose free worked. Then when she was about 2.5 yr old she became fine with regular whole milk
We have flown with our baby 6 times now she’s 13months old. I recommend loads of snacks, more then you would think. Favorite show and a baby pair of head phones Amazon has baby headband style headphones they are great for the little ones. A new toy they have not seen before ( preferably something that makes them think or work) Amazon has busy boards it’s like a folder that has a bunch of activities. And don’t forget their stuffy or whatever teddy they have, it’s always nice to have something that can provide you comfort you when you are in a new place 😊😊 hope it helps
Hi Mindy Vlogtober would be awesome Hoping Liam’s rash and your joint issues can be resolved quickly and simply. Wishing all of you the best Thank you for sharing your day with us ❤️
I have dealt with the same AC joint pain for years now. I’ll have flare ups every so often, especially if I bump my arm or sit tensed up for too long. I’ve had a few steroid injections. But the most effective form of management is taking Meloxicam for it. I injured mine by the way I moved my body each time I got in the car, using my right arm to hoist myself over in the seat. Also, some particular stretches helps when I have a flare up and can barely lift my arm straight up. Hope you get the help you need and enjoy your trip!!
I'm praying for you hoping everything is fine with your back I had to have 4 back surgeries I have rod s, screws, cages I'm cut from the top of my back all the way down to my butt. I'm miserable can't sleep.. I'm also praying for Liam that his rash goes away.... 🙏🏻
Hi Mindy! So my daughter is now 2. But she also is allergic to whole milk. But she’s fine with other dairy! She’s fine with yogurt and cheese. I had to put her on a goat milk toddler formula until she was off the bottle. She has a enough dairy and healthy fats so she no longer needs milk. Hope you hope feel better soon! ♥️ sending love to you all
Hey Beautiful Mindy!!When my grandson started doing whole milk, some cheese and dairy products he broke out too. The dr has him on a prescription allergy med he only takes once a day. He's 3 now and has grown out of the allergy. He still will have an allergy rash every once in awhile on other kinds of food. They sent him to a allergist and did test to see what he was allergic too and dairy was one. Praying you get answers. I have the same thing with my collar bone, shoulder, shoulder blade, and neck. Mines been like this for about 3 months. Praying you feel better soon.
Could it be a heat rash? I live in Florida as well. And when my daughter was younger, we dealt with heat rash a lot, so she basically stayed in her diaper and little tank tops. It has been extremely hot this summer. Even for florida.
Hey, Mindy. Yes, take a breath and move slowly like you said. See if you can get in to see an acupuncturist a couple times before you go if the orthopedic doctor can get you in. It can help with pain and inflammation. Happy Trails!
I went to London in 2019 for a week and the one thing I loved was the Jack the Ripper tour. It's a walking tour around London and a verbal history of the victims and the important locations
For book recommendations I would recommend the Practical Magic series if you haven't read it yet, especially the first book Magic Lessons, they're by Alice Hoffman. Also, idk how the orchards faired in Ohio, but here in New England a lot of orchards aren't letting you pick apples this year because we had a late frost, the crop suffered.
My friend made little packages for the other passengers. Lol. Ear plugs, candy etc. with a note saying it was the baby’s first flight. Lol. It was a hit!!!
My son was fine with dairy, until he started having larger amounts of Whole milk, when we switched from formula to whole milk at 11 months. We switched to oat milk at 13mo and all systems stopped. Definitely worth a try. We spoke to a dr and dietitian and he has been dairy free for 10 months and thriving 😊 xx
For Fall book recs, since you liked Verity you’ll love The Silent Patient and The Housemaid. Very fast-paced thrillers. Will you be vlogging in London?!
I pray Lil Liam feels better soon I read verity it was good so I started another colleen hoover book called " it ends with us " it is very good book so far
So glad you said ehat the mabeline correct stick was. Seen it in few vids and was wondering. Have fun in London. See the changing of kings guards. ❤ also my grandaughter was allergic yo whole milk after girmula switch. We tried the low % milk but almond milk was the cure. Now 6 mths later she can drink whole milk. 😊
For the flight with a baby/toddler, time his feedings so that he is having a bottle when the plane takes off and when it lands so that his ears will automatically pop and he won’t be uncomfortable during the flight.
Yes, do the 2 week vlogging in October and “vlogmas” :) Bring lots of new toys and snacks for Liam to have on the plane. I have a 12 month old. I started purchasing things from the dollar section at Target, Dollar Tree, and Amazon months before we left and kept them hidden :). I also brought a variety of easy snacks. Don’t forget to pack Tylenol and Benadryl, of course. I gave my baby a dose of Tylenol about 30 minutes before we got on the plane-to help with any pain/pressure. Also, try and have Liam drink water/liquids while taking off and landing-that will also help with any ear issues. Let him stand in between your legs on the plane-allow him stretch his legs. If you need to walk up the aisle, it’s ok! Don’t stress-Liam will do great!
Hey Mindy, love your videos. Keep making them for us. Watching you and listening to your voice is my de-stress time. Enjoy your upcoming to trip to London, hope you have a blast and you get to see the Harry Potter stores/Universal and whatever they have related to Hagwarts and the Wizarding world. Stay Safe and wishing you a speedy recovery. God bless your beautiful family, and all your loved ones. Liam is so cute. 💕
My 23 month old had to use lactose free for about 6 months after switching her off of formula. She is fine with whole milk now but it took awhile to adjust.
My last flight I was on I seen a couple have a extra seat in between them and the baby just bounced/ jump in the middle of them all flight. It was the cutest
For flying with Liam, I would suggest taking turns with Larry having Liam sit in your guys lap. Or like you said bring snacks, books, have shows/movies for him to watch. You got this mama! 🫶🏻 Also, yes to vlogtober! Love that idea. So happy for fall weather on its way. 🤗❤️🍁🎃
Love the idea of you doing Vlogtober! 🍁🎃🍂 The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston is a really cute fall read. If you want something spookier with fall vibes, I also loved The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James!
After my 2 year turned 1. I switched him to toddler formula, he still drinks it till now. I did enfagrow toddler (red can) but after formula shortage it was hard to find. Now his on Nido formula.
My book recommendation for you is The Midnight Library by Matt Haig , and how’s the fall decorations going along?, n are u thinking about Halloween 👻 decorations as yet or is it too early to ask ?
I hope your injury feels better soon & I hope you & your friend have wonderful time & safe travels to London! 🇬🇧❤ October is a busy month for me too & I love the idea of vlogtober! 🎃🍂
Mindy can you (or anyone on here) suggest the best way to travel to London or Scotland, as far as using a travel agency or directly through an airline?? I’m clueless as I’ve never traveled outside of the US!!
I use Google Flights to see what my options are for different dates at different airports. I hate connections, so I try to find the best direct flight option available.
Ahh okay I have so many thoughts I want to say! 😆 1: I love the idea of Vlogtober!! 🤎🍂🍄🥮🎃🍁 August through December is my favorite time of year and your vlogs just bring me so much joy and all the cozy vibes so I think that's a great idea if it's not too much for you!! 2: I'm so excited to see the vlogs with you guys going to Peter's! I can't remember if it was last year or the year before but the last time y'all went to Peter's and went to the huge Starbucks is one of my favorite vlogs! (Actually I might be mixing up two vlogs cause I love the one at his house where he baked a pie and the one in New York!) 3: Speaking of Peter!! I have so much love for him because he's the one that actually got me to start to watch you on UA-cam! I watched him before you because I love HP and I saw the first vlog he ever filmed with you guys at Universal for the first time FOREVER ago so I've been here for a while 😂 4: I'm so sorry about the shoulder/spin problems and little Liam being allergic to something 🥺 I'll definitely be praying for you guys 🫶🏼 Okay that's all of the thoughts I have for now! 😆
The same thing happened with my daughter. When she was about 1 she started to get a milk/diary issue. She would be fine till she drank milk and it would cause her to have all sorts of issues. After we got that dealt with she was so much better. It’s so tricky to get figure out. I hope you guys figure it out ❤
Try oat or silk milk my kids are lactose sensation since they were babies it caused a wide variety of issues. According to what I’ve read/heard from doctors etc. People were never meant to digest animal milk as a regular part of our diet and more than 70 % of the population has issues with dairy/lactose. You will get it figured out!
Yea Liam loves riding in the shopping cart NOW but wait until he gets older and you’ll be chasing him around the store😂 my nephew is 5 and he refuses to get in the buggy. Lol
Can you do a basic makeup tutorial? I’m curious because your face is beautiful (with it without makeup of course) and I never wear makeup and don’t even know how to do it properly. Help!🙏🏻
My son did the exact same thing with milk. We thought he was allergic so we started him on Enfagrow Premium Gentlease Toddler Nutritional Drink Formula. We did that for like 6 months and slowly over like 6 weeks started adding milk to the formula. Like 25/75 for like 2 weeks the. 50/50 for 2 weeks and so on. He eventually was able to go back to whole milk. It was weird. They said sometimes you can have an allergic type reaction when you make a major change but it’s not really an allergic reaction just the body adjusting. I don’t know if that helps but my son has drank whole every day since we helped him transition back and he’s now 9. Liam on the plane lol… snacks slowly introduced when nothing else works. iPad with his favorite shows and headphones. Download joy doodle on your iPad or phone. You can scribble on a black background with neon colors with your finger… kids are mesmerized by it! Books, puzzles favorite toys etc. have fun and I hope you feel better soon😊
My sons both had an issue with the protein in whole milk, specifically. This protein apparently is not the same in other dairy products. Maybe ask the pediatrician to check Liam for the milk protein allergy.

You could have EDS and not even know it. It’s a disconnect joint and tissue disorder it affects your joints causes them to dislocate easily. Just thought I’d throw that out there to you. Hopefully they get this figured out and you’re back to 100% :)
When i was a baby i couldn't do milk. My mom had to go with formula for me. Milk allergies are very common. Hugs to sweet Liam. I hope you feel better.❤🙏 g for you 🙏
At our local grocery store they have lactose free whole milk which worked wonders when we weened our son at 1 years old, I would try that to make the transition smoother! Ps. YES to vlogtober!!
Clean the earrings in a bowl lined with foil. Add baking soda and pour boiling water over it. I will spray my jewelry with clear lacquer and it won’t tarnish
Omg, YES to Vlogtober!!!! Love all the autumnal content so the more videos the merrier!!! 🍁🎃🍂👏🥰 But only if you have the time for it since it seems like everything is kind of piling on top of each other. Don't want to add all that extra editing if it's going to burn you out! 😅

Fall means fantasy books for me. Read "a court of thorns and roses" it's very popular but an easy read.
For book recommendations I would recommend the Practical Magic series if you haven't read it yet, especially the first book Magic Lessons, they're by Alice Hoffman. Yay for Larry and his team 🧢⚾️
My 23 month old had to use lactose free for about 6 months after switching her off of formula. She is fine with whole milk now but it took awhile to adjust.
My son had an issue with whole milk. We switched to A2 milk. He had no other issues with dairy at all.
I think it was all the extra crap in the mills. I’m not sure.
My last flight I was on I seen a couple have a extra seat in between them and the baby just bounced/ jump in the middle of them all flight. It was the cutest

Goat milk is the best option in my opinion for an alternative !
After my 2 year turned 1. I switched him to toddler formula, he still drinks it till now.
I did enfagrow toddler (red can) but after formula shortage it was hard to find.
Now his on Nido formula.
We had a similar problem with my oldest son and whole milk too. We switched to 2% and didn’t have a problem again

Love Peter!!!!!
I can’t believe you’re going to be down the road from me!!!!
How about almond milk? My kids love the stuff
I’d rather get vlogmas ❤❤❤❤ That has always been your thing. But that’s just me
At our local grocery store they have lactose free whole milk which worked wonders when we weened our son at 1 years old, I would try that to make the transition smoother! Ps. YES to vlogtober!!
Maybe try almond milk. That's what my daughter had to do with my grandson ❤ Much love. IM so excited for fall I can't handle it😂
It’s the moisture from the bathroom. Happened to me too😢
Clean the earrings in a bowl lined with foil. Add baking soda and pour boiling water over it. I will spray my jewelry with clear lacquer and it won’t tarnish
Vlogtober, please! 🧡🖤🎃
I think you should do blog in October because you can create memories for Liam to look at when he gets old enough to watch
Hey Mindy Happy Monday 🌞 Congratulations to Larry on his games. Sending prayers 🙏 Have a Great week thanks for sharing
Ripple is a good milk alternative ❤

Mindy I would like for u to do Vlogtober but you don’t need to over do it. Love all your videos. Liam is getting soo big. He is a cutie pie.
Omg, YES to Vlogtober!!!! Love all the autumnal content so the more videos the merrier!!! 🍁🎃🍂👏🥰
But only if you have the time for it since it seems like everything is kind of piling on top of each other. Don't want to add all that extra editing if it's going to burn you out! 😅
Who wants to see Mindy do the fall latte makeup look? I do😊
