hi Mandy, i think i'm either having a holiday blue or winter blues or maybe a bit of both...im finding it hard to get back into it! 😭😭 i think its because we are in the midst of winter here and its freezing! The cold weather has made me feel a bit reluctant to be in the kitchen decorating cookies. Our fireplace is in the living room and its the warmest place in the house...once i got there i didn't want to leave the room! hahaha 😁😋

Still, the effect is the same...snuggling up next to a nice fire trumps pretty much everything haha. Adding on just back from a holiday for you...yep, I totally get the struggle. Hi Lydia, thank you so much for your kind words and to answer your question, yes I make all the little decorations myself (sugar flowers and bows sometimes) 😊💖 I have 2 different boxes, one specially for my fondant (sugar paste) decorations and another one for my royal icing decorations. Hi Heather Morton, I just buy a blank clear plastic stencil in sheets (link in my description box) and I cut them to any shape I need with scissors! It’s a bit old school o know but it’s the best way I know how, coz I don’t have any cutting machine at all lol 😄😝

Hi Tinle, warm welcome to my channel 💖😉 I make my stencil myself just as guidelines to make it easier to decorate the cookies. What I usually do is draw/sketch the cookie design on paper then i put the plastic template on top of my design, trace & cut it manually with scissors 😁 i know its very old school but that's the only way I can do it as I don't have any cutting machine :P that's just the way I plan my designs when I create a video tutorial because i only need to use it just as a rough guidelines so its doesn't need to be super fancy. You can also create your own template using the paper with the design (you don't need to use a plastic template) hope that helps 😉👍💞

Hi Ashley, do you mean how to keep the royal icing? the icing sugar is just the ingredient to make the royal icing 😜 I keep mine in the freezer whicyh last for a few months. If you watch my video on how to make my royal icing I have also included some tips on how to store your icing for future use. @@TheRonnaEffect both black & red are the two hardest colours to make, red in particular is my nemesis! LOL 🤣 I used my Americolor gel colour in 'Tulip Red' and then I let it sit in my fridge to let the colours develop for at least a couple of days. The same process with Black, I always have a small container of black icing in freezer, when I know I'll be using red or black I always make the icing ahead of time because I know I will need to let the colour develop (get darker and richer) over a few days. Everything I use to decorate my cookies are food safe, they are edible markers made from food colouring. If you watch my video I wrote in the video instructions specifically to use edible markers. Mine is called Foodoodler edible markers from Amazon. There is a link in my description box if you want to more about it
lol no worries at all Dona, Im a bit OCD when it comes to things like that...i always like to make sure the placement are correct, so with marking off the ends of the eyes i know where to place them without being crooked 😁😋👍
Me too but I just can’t seem to get it right that’s why you don’t see me attempting - that is if you bother to view my work/channel. Templates - not my forte. 😁
I used to think so too, but if you don't attempt it then you wont be able to improve or get better at it...so i decided to take a leap of faith and tried it anyway...i made so many mistakes but I keep trying and I learned the best way that works for me. Im sure you can do it hun, just takes some practice and lots of trial & error 😉💖

These are amazing! I'm trying to make black royal icing but it turns out purple. How on earth did you make this purple black for the hair???

Hi Sohani, someone mentioned this in my Instagram account too and i truly didn't know until that person told me. Gosh i'm so sorry, i'm quite embarrassed that i got the kimono the wrong way 😅... i hope this doesn't offend anyone. I know definitely know now for the future if i make these again 😊💖👍

Hay una regla para vestir el kimono, el lado derecho de esta muñeca está por encima, grave error así visten a los difuntos, debería estar el lado izquierdo encima para estas muestras, si estas galletas se las dieran como presente a unas niñas, sería de muy mal gusto errores se cometen, bueno es corregirlos.
