Dungeness Crab Mating Season

3 males fight over 1 female. The male Dungeness crab holding the female was over 7.5 inches. The female must be close to molting since successful pairings cant occur until after she molts.
Some crabs became interested in my feet shortly after. I couldn't help but worry due to their aggression this time of year. I've already had my foot attacked by a male Dungeness crab and didn't want that happening again.
