If anyone is having issues extending the tube put the RPG in the freezer for about an hour. What this does is it shrinks the plastic inert warhead and then you can open it. The plastic warhead likes to swell when it has been left alone for a while or was left in the heat. Hope this helps.
Please release more content like this, you are the forgotten weapons of all of the seriously interesting stuff about military hardware we all want to learn about but don't have 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I had the privilege of opening one of these historical packages. It was born six months after I was, and besides a tiny bit of corrosion around the striker the entire thing was in PERFECT condition. ...which is pretty cool for being in storage for 40 years...
I’m actually very impressed with the build quality of this. I’ve used several LAW rockets and I’ve never seen one in this good of condition or of build quality and it seems Better designed for battlefield conditions. They definitely designed it so people that were not educated very well could use them. I wish I could get a hand on one of these trainers
We need hundred thousand minimum of these, some of the antiquated American items are completely hodge podged. And require maintenance to work continuously.
The live one is RPG-75 (in Czech it means Reactive Antitank Grenade model 75). . It is Czech made and currently used in Ukraine. On the “Valgear” channel there is live firing RPG-75. This is inert (abbreviation Šk - školní - means “school” and means practice). It is also Nh variant with live rocket but inert warhead for practice of firing. And variant RPG Cv. 75 also exists. It have insert barrel for 7,62 mm round (also for practice)
That's actually interesting that ear plugs are a civilian market off-shelf product. There is a product description, rating for up to 110 dB and using instruction, as well as cleaning instructions. What I find interesting is that most products of communist era Czechoslovakia had a price printed on them, that way the same product had the same cost in any shop across the country. And it seems that these plugs would have consumer price of around 1.50 $USD in todays money.
The features to recock and cover, would those have only be present on the training models? I Understand that some other disposable AT launchers don't allow you to do similar with the live versions
@@Jreb1865 nah i think he ment Norway. The M72 LAW was produced in the US & Norway, the US stopped production in favor of the AT4 but Norway still produces them in a modernised variant to this day.
@@DerDrecksack87The funny thing is that Nammo Raufoss AS of Norway restarted production of the M72 in the US. The US military found that the lighter weight of the M72 compared to the AT4 made it a popular choice as a bunker buster.
@@kutter_ttl6786 it makes sense, you can carry two M72s for the weight of one AT4. If you are on patrol in an MRAP in afghanistan and have to return fire at 300m+ or take out the occasional building the AT4 is of course better, but if you are holding the line against a bunch of advancing infantry & BMPs or having to hump it trough woodlands & bombed out suburban places, nothing beats a light, compact multi purpouse AT weapon like the LAW.
Technically RPG doesn't stand for Rocket Propelled Grenade. I have one of these inerts. Really cool talking item. Good demonstration of the use of this. Only thing I didn't like about this was the rear sight method of storing it under a rubbery piece.
Slovakia with that absolute coolest military tech as always. What’s the arming distance on this thing? I’f I’m already shooting a rocket that small that close to my face I hope it’s 0 feet.
Well Slovakia was part of Czechoslovakia, but this was technically built in the "Czech" part of today Czechia (town of Bojkovice at Zeveta a.s manufacturer). Info online says 5-12m, I'm guessing it would be similar to an m72 which is about 10 meters
In the tube initiator is out of explosive and starts to be inserted into charge 1,5 m after leaving the tube. According to field manual full arming distance is 12 m. And up to 4 m there should be zero chance of explosion if the warhead hits something
If you pound the anthills with the inert warhead for a while, they might decide to leave for better pastures... You'll have better results with Cypermethrin though. Chem warfare - best warfare.

Funnily, "skolni" in Russian means "school version" rather than "training version". Funny to think the Chechs would have schools supplied with these :) I'd rather expect Poland to be this warlike.
No, it is in Czech but really means “school” and in Czech this it was often in “inert - practice” Russian used word “uchebnyi” (it means “for practice”
It's actually a recoilless rifle. The projectile itself is not a rocket since there's no rocket engine. It's sort of disposable smooth bore small carl gustaf-like weapon.
The warhead is usually propelled by a rocket motor. Which is missing in the training version. The thin tube that was extended would not be able to contain the explosive charge of a recoilless rifle, nor direct enough of it backwards.
@@campandcook3118 nope, there's nothing like rocket motor. There are two screw holes on the bottom of the projectile but they only hold the projectile at it's place. When the weapon is fired, these two screws snaps. There's not even space for any rocket motor. The whole projectile is stabilised only by the rear ring which acts as a aerodynamic brake. This would not make sense since the rocket motor would completely break the whole idea of this cheap to produce weapon. I have several pieces in my collection and yes, it is a disposable recoilless rifle, not a rocket launcher. You can read a bit about the RPG-75 and some of it's variants in this article.
