For those dealing with scrupulosity, I recommend looking up the online ministry Scrupulous Anonymous and the book Understanding Scrupulosity by Thomas M. Santa.
"We are more than animals... Satisfying the urge is not what we're made for." That's such a simple idea that's so lost on most people in our secular culture. :(
See Rev. Fr. Thomas Dubey about how we are trying manupilate God. We Christians rely on HOPE because future is already written in the Book of Revelation, not in the present moment. It is Yin Yang method, Eastern psychological methods. I am from that Eastern background. I am still living there. I know these stuff. I was addicted to the present moment and meditated on it. A famous New Age quote " yesterday is a history, tommorrow is a mystery (for them), today is a gift, that is why it is called the Present." (with capital P - they don't believe in capital 'G') Because they don't know the future. They don't have a hope. They only have the present moment. Again I am saying, for Christians, future is already written in the last book. Matthew 6:25 says do not worry about the future...about what you WILL eat, wear...do not store for the future...do not worry about tomorrow... IT IS WRITTEN. Only thing we have to do is to be confident in the sacred HOPE and REPENT for our sins and live a sacred life not for us but for Jesus Christ. So pray for those people who are living with the present moment without hope. Because as St Paul quated "we have a battle with the spirits not with flesh". Love everybody. They are also God's children. Pray.
"Don't expect perfection" squares exactly how with Matthew 5:48? God specifically tells us to BE PERFECT, then tells us it's impossible for us to be perfect, then tell us that He's giving us a light burden.
Yet you impose callings on others. Many times I have heard people say that being gay and therefore being called to singleness and chastity. Unless callings have become prescriptive.
I wish you could do a whole episode just on all the points discussed during the male masturbation segment.

St. Joseph, our Spiritual Daddy, make up for all mis-education, especially all these moments that we are not aware of

Wow! This would be enough to screw up anybody head! Evolutionary Phycology seems to be a more sane answer to how humans tick.
