    Please do a acceleration test on your modified 5kw hub motor!!

      I'm keen but how should I do it? I've got no speedo on the bike, I could use GPS and a stop watch but the GPS lag would ruin it. I'm thinking I need to buy a bike spoke speedo for this to work

      @@jd-dc I’m not sure I usually use a gps speedo for my acceleration tests but yes it has a bit of lag. If you have a display that plugs into your controller that would also work. I’m mainly looking for just an estimate but I can see other viewers interested in an accurate reading.

    Half year ago, didn't it break under the load?
    Also, what is weight increase of pure frame with the carbon box?

    @JD-DC, you made a video about your sons mx125. Can you do another video where you show what the install looks like? Maybe just take the plastics off so I can get a good look at it. Also can you update product links that would work for the install? I am wanting to do this for my son.

    Cyclone 3000 (or 4000) Watts in the background. Would be nice to see it on a bike.

    Awesome build! Did you ever get around to testing those Molicel cells you got from Alibaba? I'm thinking about getting some as well but am not 100% sure about the quality of them

    • @jd-dc
      @jd-dc  2 роки тому

      Thank you. I'm half way through the first battery build with them. 20s 4p and all the cells I pulled out for this battery were exactly the same voltage, down to the .00 of a volt. I have the bluetooth daly bms so we will be able to monitor them and it should be finished and on the bike with the video uploaded in the next fortnight but I'm still another month away from building the 2 x 10s 10p batteries for the jetboard sorry

    Can i ask what vacuum bag you’re using? I i have bags similar to yours (space-bag type storage bag), but i’m not confident they’ll hold a vacuum without continuous negative pressure for the entire cure time of the epoxy

    How many layers for the box?

    • @jd-dc
      @jd-dc  2 роки тому +1

      Each side got
      1 dynal layer
      3 fiberglass
      4 carbon fiber
      Then the kevlar patches and aluminum patch
      That's just the box, once I put it on the frame I lost count off all of the peoces but I'm pretty sure every layer is on the video

    I do the same thing- ugly build and concentrate 100% of my efforts on functionality. That’s slot of carbon man, you could run that thing over with an 18 wheeler!

    • @jd-dc
      @jd-dc  2 роки тому

      Haha so true, you never know if it is going to break or be non functional on the fist ride when trying stuff like this, so I prefer not to spend too much time on cosmetics incase it's a fail
