Kultuurikohvik: Ar-God and Svjata Vatra
Kultuurikohvik (Cultural Café) is a series of concerts that take place in 2019, where different bands of minorities living in Estonia perform. All the music of the bands is inspired by the folklore of their land of origin, that has been modified to a contemporary form. The concerts are acoustic and give the atmosphere of “home concerts”. In addition to playing their music, the artists share their ideas and thoughts about their creation and culture. The host is Jüri Muttika.
During the concert on October 17th, bands Ar-God and Svjata Vatra will share their music.
AR-GOD is a cooperation between Udmurtian musicians-folklorists Maria Korepanova and Nikolai Anisimov with South-Estonian multiinstrumentalist Toivo Sõmer. Together they are creating new layers in the rich treasury of traditions. The repertoire of the trio AR-GOD consists mainly of polyphonic folk songs from different regions of Udmurtia, that have been woven together through improvisation with the archaic Finno-Ugrian melodies. The song arrangements are tastefuly in modern key, bound with the sound of world music.
Svjata Vatra doesn’t need introduction in the Estonian folk music field. It’s an ensemble that plays Estonian-Ukrainan folk music based on traditonal songs, nostalgic children’s games and Baltic melodies, with a fresh punk attitude.
Kultuurikohvik is organized by the Estonian Folklore Council’s working group of minorities. Estonian Folklore Council is a non-governmental organization, set up on an interdisciplinary basis and acts as the roof-organization for all institutions, which are practically, organizationally and scientifically engaged in folk culture, folk art and the cultural heritage. It’s aim is to value cultural heritage and to support its consistency.

Kultuurikohvik это серия музыкальных встреч, начавшаяся в 2019 году, где представлена музыка различных народов проживающих в Эстонии. В данном проекте принимают участие музыкальные коллективы, которые исполняют традиционные песни на родном языке, но в современной аранжировке. Акустическое исполнение песен, открытые диалоги между выступающими, вопросы с зала, всё это создает уютное ощущение квартирников. Ведущий вечера Юрий Муттика.
Ансамбль «Ар-Год» состоит из удмуртских фольклористов, музыкантов Марии Корепановой и Николая Анисимова и эстонского мультиинструменталиста Тойво Сымера, которые явят на свет жемчужины музыкального фольклора в современной обработке. Музыкальный багаж трио состоит из старинных удмуртских многоголосных народных песен импровизационно связанны с другими древними финно-угорскими мелодиями. При этом исполнение выдержанно в современном ключе.
“Свята Ватра” не нуждается в особом представлении в музыкальном пространстве Эстонии. Это эстоно-украинский ансамбль, исполняющий музыку в стиле фолк. Уникальное звучание ансамбля происходит из звуков дуэта украинского тромбона и эстонской волынки, ну и конечно от темпераментного исполнения солиста группы Руслана Трочинского.
Kultuurikohvik организован Инициативной группой национальностей Фольклорного совета Эстонии. Фольклорный совет Эстонии занимается продвижением и развитием фольклорной деятельности с целью поддержания народной культуры и сохранения её преемственности.
