God is Truth because God is Reality because God is Existence itself.
God knows and Loves Himself. This begets the Word. And what God knows about Himself is Truth.
The ideas you and I have about God are just ideas. If God does not come to dwell in the Intellect and Will because they have yet to be turned back to Him... then you remain in darkness and how dark is your darkness when the Light of the World does not vivify your spiritual senses though you believe He has.
When the God who actually is Truth, comes to dwell within. He reveals and makes clear all things.
What you present "Reverand" is not the Truth that God is. It is simply some bad ideas of your own that have nothing to do with the Truth who simply Is.
Presumption would be evil in that it presumes upon the mercy of God and prevents God from being who He is, Savior. And the greatest evil is to be separated from our greatest good... which is God, who is Life itself.
Mercy is not given if it is not sought. And mercy is not sought if we no longer believe we stand in need of it. And we no longer believe we need mercy if we no longer believe in sin. And that grave error will lead to the self-destruction of who you truly are. And who you truly are is not the used car salesman peddling lies for the devil.
God's Word (which is Truth because God is Truth and then is no error or defect in Him) goes forth from Him and does not return to Him void... but fulfills the purpose for which it was sent.
God is making a reality what is most real in us... Himself. God is Reality... because God is Life itself. And out of His generosity, He is also calling us forth into the reality of who we are... a created being... human... a man or woman fully alive with the indwelling Presence of the Trinity, who vivify us from the inside out.
The Truth is the only thing that can call forth what is real in us... the same way the Truth called forth Lazarus from the grave... and it is the Word who is speaking into eternity, the Truth of who we are as beloved, redeemed sons and redeemed daughters, found in Christ, who alone is fully God and fully man. Every Lie, does not have it's origin in the One who alone is Truth... and thus seeks to destroy what is most real in us.
We are the bride of Christ. We are being grafted onto Him. Christ is imputing his holiness onto us.
You "reverend", have accepted Lies as truth, which I understand is possible and would be painful to have a foundation we trust as secure, to be revealed as sand. But that is the Truth I am sharing with you today, whether you would like to agree with it or not. You have the freedom to continue building your sandcastle upon that errant foundation... but I promise you, because God's Word is true... that it is going to prove very unstable for you.
A tree is known by its fruit. And the fruit of your tree is not Truth. You are drinking polluted water from bad streams.
