What a game that is. Incredible tries, fantastic performances from almost everyone on the pitch, and to top it all off, I could see pretty much everything that happened because it wasn’t filmed on a potato. Bravo

The problem with these players are they don't need to deal with islanders like in Australia/NZ. Everytime I visit Australia I check out the local junior clubs in the Penrith and Central West comps. Most teams have HUGE talented islanders that force the smaller kids to play smart and tough. Everyone catches up around the 15/16 mark and the islanders that relied on there natural ability drop off. The smaller kids are use to playing against stronger opposition. This environment produces incredibly talented players. Also each age group has divisions. They're usually around 5 divisions deep with the best in div 1. Each club except have a competition. The Roosters are the only club that don't have a huge junior comp. Imagine most clubs with 5 divisions in each age group and that's excluding country players . The pool of players to pick is huge

Do the blueberry's in France make you stronger?
Why are the youth teams so strong but the main one gets beaten? Or are the youth teams only now becoming better?

Exactly the same thing happens with England/GB youth teams and has for a while now. Not only do they properly compete with the Aussies and kiwis they often win.

@@stoneagepig3768 I'm Australian and heavily involved with our junior teams. We have a huge pool and most nrl players don't play for our Australian schoolboys or academies. Some do but you'll find our best players come from low income areas or the country. They develop through the Harold Matthews/ Jersey Flegg rep system. A lot of players thrive in the nrl system. Most of our current origin teams didn't make the Australian Schoolboys teams.
Just playing in the NRL develops players to a more elite level. I hope the NRL does buy the Super League. We'd be working together and you'd start seeing more internationals. Better players would start going to England. I guarantee it'd make your competition go to the next level

Wouldn't it be great if France could beat the big 3 regularly like they did in thier heyday.

Wow amazing game! Now if the French gov could stop screwing over Rugby league in France because of nepotism to rugby union, French rugby league could flourish & seniors team could be a dominant force again (as they were in the 80s & earlier)

Bad result in the end for England. They should have won the match.
