  • X32 Faulty Pots Clean
You know the feeling when your pots are failing. Faulty values - you turn and nothing happens. It is most likely you have to clean your pots with contact spray.
In this video I will show you how to open the X32 and get out the different pcb's.
DIY - Time: 1h30min but worthwhile

Hi Michel thank you for your tip with the tire, I have to open my console because I have no sound in the headphones outputs and no sound on the monitors jack outputs, I will be able to open without fear that the two elements will separate and check the connections headsets and monitors.

do you have any clue where to find replacement silicone buttons/pads? The club i worked at had a short rodent problem and those little bastards chewed over 30 of them flush. I found a site selling the smaller buttons for $2 each, but i need to replace 29 of the larger size

Sorry just stumbled across this. I'm a little hesitant to take advice from someone that doesn't know the difference between a "POT" (stands for potentiometer and are analog resistors) and a rotary encoder which are digital. The X32/M32 use rotary encoders. Although this may temporarily fix the problem, the true fix is to replace the rotary encoder.

Thanks Jeff! Arent we all a bit digital these days 😁. I would suggest an edit in my english language of encoder (can be an analog pot, digital read) and an endless encoder (which indeed the x32 uses).

Nice video... but don't touch contact cleaner with your bare hands, especially if it's hexane :-/
I have some really high quality cotton swabs that I dry excess hexane off of PCB and they don't leave any particles behind. I also wear static-free gloves when doing things like this.
