Really like the approach Steamforged guys have taken with these proving ground games - two excellent videos that show the flavour, tactical depth and epic storytelling / highlights moments that games provide!
Most exciting and engaging game out there at the moment. Love this game, they've captured strategy and theme perfectly. The characters and game play is very streamlined yet deep. Steamforged support is amazing as well for the game and the community.
I picked up some hunters. Probably the best quality miniatures I've come across. They throw up some challenges to paint as there is so many fine details, however the details are very crisp so your not having to figure out where things start and end.
package48 I can't talk about DreadBall, but I really prefer GuildBall to BloodBowl. After all, GB really is a fullon Tabletop Miniature Wargame (yes, despite the small scale), not a Boardgame like BB (not that I hate Boardgames, but i prefer the free Movenent instead of moving through squares). Also GB is not that dependant on Luck (of course you need it, but 1 bad roll wont cost you an entire turn or even the Game) I'd take GB over BB any day of the Week !
I just got my GB starter and jumped into BB recently completing a league season. BB is more like a board game and a large part of the strategy is luck mitigation and risk management since the dice can be brutal. It takes longer (2h-3h), but has plenty of flavour with the super turnovers and lucky/unlucky roles. The campaign (league) also adds lots of RPG and story telling moments. Even here in RSA it has a huge following...There is also PC and mobile version you can try first. GB appeals to me as a more serious game and with equal flavour and more "skills \ player generated" story telling moments. It is a full miniature game in the spirit and mechanics of modern design. You have named and unique miniatures and only need six guys for a team. The BB teams officially supported so far with new minis are only at 5 (2 humans) and you are locked into team packs and expensive boosters (Forge World stuff) that can make having your ideal roster (say 4 blitzers) "expensive". GB to me appeals way more in this regard and even with just the starter I am already contemplating a 6 player Butcher team and tempted for an Union team too. Another bonus is literally everything is free so I can test out both teams or individual models before I buy. It is great for hooking players too...I took my starter to game night and although I played with a buddy in my group that is the least interested in minis (I first played Runewars with the best candidate and he then played with other two) and only two no score turns - he WhatsApp-ed me the next morning with his print and play team he wants to try next week! At the RRP I think it is excellent value and you only really need to hook 1-2 other players to make it worth it...
This guy is great at teaching the game.

Jamie did a great job teaching the game. I would love to see more of the Alchemists or Morticians, as I haven't seen much of them yet.
Thank you for playing different guilds... it really shows how each one works.
Great to see there's so many scenarios. Totally different tactics needed in this one.
Thanks for all of the detailed explanation in the video. Really helps a new player follow the game!
What a great game, really enjoyed this one. I am really liking how each faction plays so differently
Really interested in this game. Never played a minis game, but have assembled and painted them. How is the competitive scene?
Great way of showcasing each factions playstyle
Beautiful miniatures!
Great video here guys!

Great game! Love that you can win without rampaging through the enemy.
Always fancied Guildball since the kickstarter, never had the funds to get started though
LOVE THE LOOK OF ALL THE FACTIONS IN THIS GAME, i need them

You guys are smashing out the videos. Hopefully we'll see the alchemists in play soon
Is this better than Blood Bowl? Dread Ball?

How many factions are there?!? Its like there is just more and more to this game!
Right now there are nine, but Farmers are on the way, taht makes it up for ten guilds.
very good like both these guilds
Fantastic game!
I want to get my hands on this Hunters team. The bear is a must.
I wonder who will win?
Great tactical game!
You got lucky John lol . Good game , liking the explanations during the game.
This game looks pretty rad

And now I kinda want engineers too... Committing to a faction is gonna be hard.
Great job on this video!
Thanks for sharing a game
Really helpful cheers
Loving the content chaps!

Nice Game! Great Minis
Snare is amazing, a panther and a bear too, what's not to love, these hunters might just be better than the brewers!!!
Great job teaching the game

Whoever painted those figures needs to do some painting tutorials.
Engineers and hunters both look good.
The more I see this week, the more i'm afraid i have to raid my vallet...
It's proving very hard to keep my wallet in my pocket. John, this faction was made for you.
Go, engineers!
A bear?? Take my money!!
This should be good viewing with dinner :P
I would like to see the Brewers and the butchers
+1 nice matchup!

"Toot Toot!"
I’m an artist learning to paint miniatures and learning guild ball. Blessings
Hunters!!!
Great teaching video
Stop showing me how fun the other factions are. I already can't get enough games in with my butchers
Steam forged games really put out top notch games. Says the Dark Souls 3 KS backer.
I like the look of the Hunters but I think they are a bit more complicated than I should start with. Still aren't interested in the Engineers.
the morticians look interesting to me
