Biweekly or monthly inventory updates /teasers would be most welcome
I'm 18 seconds into your video, and all I can say is please be self-serving...how have I not seen this before... it's beautiful.
Seeing the various tools shows the history of tool engineering. I can not yell WOW ! ! loud enough for you to hear me. This is fascinating and I want to see more. Need a channel just for the tools. So much history in vintage tools which changed for the quality we have now, good or bad, you be the judge. Old tools have so much quality we do not see now. Can not wait to see more. THANKS BEN ! ! ! !
I love the old card boxes and filing drawers in the background! You should open a Museum, your enthusiasm is contagious.
The only reason Ben has got this shop is that he realised (was made to) that he can't use them all. If there was any way he could play with all these beauties, none of them would leave his possession...I am damn sure about that:) Great video, refreshing change, and good to see another successful part of your life.
Knowing that your shop isn't very far away from me is making my wallet hide away from me. Merry Christmas Ben and family 👍
Why does this store not have its own active channel, that place is absolute heaven for tool nerds, and there’s a lot of us out there.
So many toolgasms in such a short video
More please! That twinkle in the eye is infectious
That was a fun surprise video.😍
more please, a time when even even the simplest tool was made with love and passion. more more more
Love this kind of content. Keep it coming guys.
I love Ben's reaction to these beautiful tools. It's like he's 6 years old and Santa has just been on Christmas Day.
The delight and joy radiating from him is virtually tangible.
Ben. Id love to see a weekky video of you going to your store. Picking out one tool taking it to your shop and putting it to use once again. That would be so cool. Plus you get to add another tool to your shop every week. Its a win win for your shop and a win for us watching the video!
I share your love of old vintage tools. Keep up the good work.
This is an awesome video Ben! I would love to see even a dedicated channel for this type of thing. Love seeing the craftsmanship and the workability of these old tool. It's easy to see why they Fascinate You.
What I love about the tools is their intrinsic beauty and the marvelous craftsmanship the tool makers put into creating them. It's like the tool makers are challenging the end user to create something as beautiful with the tool as the tool is itself. Thanks for he show, Ben. Happy Christmas to you and yours. Cheers....
Totally interested in the vintage tool "updates" !! Love the craftsmanship & passion for excellence that went into making the tools , which tells us a lot about the people who used them !!
All the Norris planes made me inordinately happy! 🙂👍
Would love to see more of tool shop!!!!
It would be interesting if there was such a store in Japan.(Usable)Vintage Tools shop.
Love old tools...any old tool content would be extremely welcome :) I am retired and will be making a lot of tools myself, just because it is cool to do so. Anyway, anything you can teach us is tremendously welcome!
I love how every passing day brings us one day closer to GGBO 2021, yaaaaaaay
I totally love this type of videos. I need more of them! Please! Or even a separate channel for your tools and the restauration of them!
Loved the vudeo of you going thru the tools and explaning what they are and how they are used. Please please have more videos like this. Most Enjoyable.
Definitely more vintage tools and restos.
You should absolutely have the occasional “what’s in the shop” videos. (Probably on its own VTS channel.)
Beautiful romp through your other passion. Please do more of these in the future.
This is so cool. I totally get the tool addiction!
What fun it would be to have access to all the beautifully crafted tools.
certainly not clickbait - i click, i see a vintage tool
Yes, more vintage tool
vids please. This was inspiring. I’m gonna clean up tomorrow.
Thanks
More to come for sure, probably on the side channel ua-cam.com/channels/GEww2nhBs9qT-hfL3QuqSQ.html B
I swear I could feel your knees turning to jelly as you were sorting through the goodies. Clearly, the luthiery and guitar school pays for your real addiction.
Wow, tolle Werkzeuge👍
Ich wünsche Dir und Deiner Familie ein schönes Weihnachtsfest 🎄🎅🎍
Yes please, more vintage tool videos. Maybe a vintage tools channel?
Very nice Ben. The tools are wonderful. Merry Christmas!
Love to see more of this kind of video, It would be good to see the restoration side of some of the tools too...
Thanks Ben!! Now you've got me building my own tools!!! STARWARS😜
Yes please. And do introduce the legends who restore the tools.
Wow... Incredible haul. Very entertaining to watch (wanted more). Especially pleasing to see you just beaming! lol Thanks for sharing, sir!
Wow what a wonderfully beautiful shop! I could spends days and days in there!! Lovely
Thank you, I feel the same.. hopefully we will all be able to get back to normal and when we do you are more than welcome to come and visit for as many days as you fancy! B
More! More! More! More! More! More! More! More! More! More! More! More!
I would like to see more videos like this , if I can only stop drooling !
I love these types of videos. Keep em coming.
I'm deliciously happy, seeing this today! I need a better job, so I can afford to buy something- anything!- from Vintage Tool Shop. I did find a nice little stash of glorious old planes at my favorite store here in Cleveland, Tennessee (the Antiques Parlour, with dozens of individual sellers who rent out stalls and have the owner do the selling for them) that I've been hoping my room mate has taken notice of, and one of the packages under the tree might contain one. I will know in just 2 more days!
Hey Ben,
Merry Christmas to you and your family 👌👏👏👏👍😄
Greetings
🐈
Love the old tools!
More of this! Love from NW Colorado. Thanxz
I’d love to see more of this 👍
Many thanks for a fantastic video, not just for the insight into some beautiful tools but also a completely unknown history of my surname (to me at least). As a fellow Norris I found it really interesting to hear my name associated with what can only be described as works of art. At some point I will have to own a Norris tool of some kind.
I can never really tell what makes Ben more giddy. Building a gorgeous guitar, or getting in a boat load of amazing vintage tools?
I would like to see more vintage tools especially if you can go into the history of them. My vintage tools are Stanley Planes from 1900 - 1920. There is nothing like a well made tool from the past to help make modern works of art.
Thanks for sharing and I wish you and yours a very merry Christmas.
I found an old Tyzack saw in a tool bin at my local dump this year. Cost me one pound, very happy :)
If I owned this shop I'd have the largest struggle just taking everything to my shop, I don't know how you do it🤣 I would love to see more of this. I too have an obsession with old tools particularly hand planes. Love it
its a good job you showed the shop Ben as i dont think many people knew about it ....a merry christmas to you and your family.
Cool shop for sure ! Ben, please let us show antique tools restoration :)
I knew this small mom and pop DIY store, and above the stands all the walls were covered in vintage tools. The owner said it was his pension if he ever were to sell it. You'd love it, Ben, just the thing for you. Sadly the store is no more. I hope he got some good money for it, maybe even some of it made it your way? If you ever got a large collection from Nijmegen, the Netherlands, then it did make it your way. Or maybe he still has it, enjoying his collection as much as you do?
Love seeing videos like this. Ill visit your vintage site.
Looks like you had a fun day!
Very cool, thanks for this!
Get in touch with Bevan and Barker in Mansfield. It’s a garage that has just closed that has been open since the 50s. They may have a stuff you will be interested as it’s been family owned the entire time. They are only closing due to their age and the COVID health risks to them.
More videos from this shop pls
Absolutely STUNNING :)
I have bought 4 gouges in total from you guys and have started my first attempt at carving a sign for a building at the school I work at. All I need now is a better mallet, but I am probably going to make one...probably...
Cool plan to show more, some great old tools there
I love the old tools with a passion.. it really isn't a surprise that I ended up dealing in them.. B
Loved this video. Yes, make more like it. Going there must be like a kid going to there own personal toy store. What a fantastic way to spend a day. We have nothing like this store in the city where I live in southern Wisconsin, USA.
Personal candy store indeed, I'm not really sure how I ended up being the luckiest man alive, but there we go.. :) If there isn't a store like this near you maybe you should start one? B
Loved that, thanks Ben
You have the best life, love your enthusiasm for these tools 👌👌
Great video 😊 tool/machine restoration and refinishing instruments have been playing on my mind since March and the start of furlough 🤔 (one project I can't let go of is potentially building a 6 string Iceman style bass🤔).
Would definitely be up for learning more on vintage tools, so yeah, more videos would be nice 😊
LOOOOOOVE IIIT!!!!!! Am a vintage tool kind of guy myself, so absolutely loved this!!! Gimme mooore!!!
Lovely tools!
i love old tools! Over the last twenty years or so Ive collected or inherited so many its insane(or so they tell me). I love going to auctions in the US people practically give most away because no one wants the stuff, or knows nothing on how to use them. They'll come a day we wished we all had some fine old hand tools, robots taking over. Lol
Thanks for sharing! And Merry Christmas to you and your family Ben. Cheers
I feel that I need to visit the states for a tool buying trip one day, sounds amazing! B
This was cool. It's not hard to imagine how each one has a story to tell, and how you might get caught up in them. By opening a shop and actually parting with some of them; and even using a few once in a while, you avoid ending up on an episode of "Hoarders." I like simple things that work, and it's amazing how effective and precise a simple tool can be.
Sweet, sweet, toolage.
Loved it!
CG has Badger and VTS has Purple Badger! How cool
That was wonderful! I'd love to visit your treasure house, but I fear I'd spend far too much and then not use the tools enough, though some of them are indeed works of art.
Did anyone else close one eye to look along that saw blade?
This shameless plug brought to you by Crimson Guitars : P. To be fair, one of these would be the best Christmas gift ever. Happy Holidays, y'all.
Happy Hogwatch Ben. I bet whoever does your stock updates must get a sinking feeling when you turn up with another van load! It would be great to see a tour of the expanded shop and maybe some of the restoration techniques you use. Just to keep me happy until I can get there for another rummage through your goodies.
loved seeing this ben..
Thank you, this is my dirty little secret and I love sharing it! B
If you have the time, I’d love to see a dedicated channel to the tools. Fantastic haul mate
Monthly video on Ben’s top 10 favourite tools please, entitled...”My name is Ben and I’m a Toolaholic”
Awesome video!
about that No 7 plane... i'll be happy to take that off your hands! ;-)
Guitars, watches, tools... you sir are a poly geek!
Great video, just found your channel, love you presenting style, into collecting wrenches myself but love old tools, thanks 👍👍
Thank you for watching. Look on vintagetoolshop.com for wrenches, we have many :) DC
I hadn't realised it was an actual physical shop. Figured it was just an online exercise. Wow. Damn this geography that means I'm at the opposite side of the country......
Have yet to purchase from vintage tool shop. when my workshop is finished in the spring I shall be looking for some turning tools
Old tools.... smile!
This is just Tool Porn! Love it, give us more Ben.
Yes would love more of this type of video. Doesn't have to be as part of Crimson or Ben in his shed. VTS only UA-cam videos would be great.
If I had the funds I'd be buying all of these 😅 ~ S
More please
I want everything 🤪
You can show us how you do restoration of the tools. Thank
Who's We?? We buy, we this, we that? No, You buy, this n that. 👀😁
Would love to do this for a living....
Love the old tools, start a subchannel, make your toprestorer the host of the show, show the restauration, tell more about the origin of the tools, what the purpose was (is) and explain why just that tool stands out to the others. Sort of "what's on the bench" style video
I know I will be watching
BTW: how will shipping to the EU mainland go after brexit? Should we expect additional customs fees?
seeing as vintage tool shop is a phisical shop you should go around the shop and do a shop tour (add it to the list of tours thats toats needed to be done) and talk about some of the your fave tools in the shop like why there spesh
I'm so jelly
Nothing would make me happier than a vintage tool shop channel, win win for you, extra income and you get to talk about tools all day!
Absolutely!
