Vulfmon - harpejji, mixing
Can't wait for Vulfmon to cover every Vulfpeck track with this single instrument
Don't give them ideas like that
Then etch the recordings onto gold disks and send it into space.
This is the most Jack Stratton instrument I’ve ever seen
Have you seen a hurdy-gurdy before?
This is the most instrument i have ever seen
Never will ever beat the pancakes
Check out the Chapman Stick.
Made for shape guys
dang. the Harpejji K24 comes with a $6500 retail price tag. Joe Dart must be slingin' those bass masterclasses like hotcakes🔥
Lol
It kinda makes sense. Low volume (lol) of sales probably, and the hardware involved is like 90% of 4 guitars (bridge/tuner/pickup/extra neck width, only thing it's not duplicating x4 is the output jack). Never realized they were in that price range though, dang!
Damn, I just thought that my mom would love this since she plays both piano and cello, but that is a bit outside of our price range even if I could convince our entire family to give it to her as a shared gift 😬
@@JobvanderZwan there's smaller ones
It’s their most v e r s a t i l e product for a reason!
It's Superstition to say that you cannot get funk out of harpejji.
It really makes sense that you would be able to if you think about it. The sound is made in a very similar way to a clavichord/clavinet, where those essentially simulation the effect of tapping the strings onto frets; the only real difference is that this doesn't use keys to do that.
@@andrewlyon8924 I believe the OP was just making a joke about the song "Superstition". This track is reminiscent of the Stevie Wonder song.
@@investigate3_11 Yeah I know. I was nerding out about the instrument
And I appriciate the nerding.
And we all know superstition ain't the way
Finally - something modern sounding from a Harpejii player.
Listen to anything Jacob Collier does on the harpejji. Dude is a musical wizard.
Or Cory Henry
Or Valter Soosalu...
1:15 sickest harpejji bass riff of 2023
... and it sounds purely pentatonic but his rhythm makes it rip.
His keyboard technique has all been preparing for this moment.
this guy is really good, he should start a band
Or several
Lol thanks
Maybe call it Vulfpeck?
@@AndreasSchlitzkus - Seems nutty.
Maybe name a song Cory Wong.
Maybe...
Joe’s going to be sweating when he hears this bass line

Damn sometimes I forget how awesome the internet can be. Just look at this comment thread.
If you look closely you'll realize he's not really playing the harpejji. this is a scene for the new movie "Cory I shrunk the Joe Dart". Joes running around playing the harpejji with his feet and Jack's tryna catch him.
Harpejji I implies the existence of Harpejji II
Liked before even watching. Sue me.
you will be receiving correspondence from my lawyers shortly
we're looking at a class action here for sure
The Harpejji is like Vulfmon in a box
That's the first time I've seen the instrument used in this way. It really suits this style as it kind of sounds like a clavi.
for some reason i never imagined you playing the harpejji but watching this, it totally makes sense that you would.
Strange I have been looking at these instruments a lot lately and now I am blessed with Jack demonstrating one.
This shit is tight asf I wish it was longer
Just hit repeat
Damn I was hoping we'd get the Vulf jingle on this instrument.
i can sense this sending me into a rabbit hole
I love the slap bass
strictly speaking it's tap bass. I'll see myself out
I'll never get tired of this stuff
Jack Stratton on the
Joe Dartpejji
I was trying to explain what a harpejji was to a friend and the best description I could think of is that its an instrument that makes every song sound like Superstition
Hell yeah, Harpejjiation. Hallelujah!
Harpelujjah!
I already need more of this
Ohhh i like the sound of this one, definitely more of that dj bean ornish sound
also Toejam and Earl vibes baby!
Can’t wait for the official Vulf licensed harpejji with only two frets
MORE HARPEJJI I'M BEGGING YOU!!!
I think this is my first time seeing Jack Stratton on a string instrument in a production. In at least one video, I've seen him pick up and play a bass, I think, but only for conversational purposes. That doesn't fall under "production" or "performance". But he's such a musical guy. When I was first being Welcomed to Vulf Records, he really stood out in Vulfpeck's "Sky Mall" video. I thought, "Who is this joker dancing like a fool at the end of this video?" I'd never have guessed that he's the metronome of the whole thing. On camera, he looks like the least serious person in the mix. When in reality, he's the one MIXING the mix. And he manages the label's bands. It's nice to sometimes see him do some stuff on his own like this, especially messing around with a relatively new instrument and coming up with something that can really only be performed on that instrument. It's inspiring. It's intimidating but also inspiring.
You mean you haven't seen funky sturgeon?
Idk how you haven't seen him play things yet lol
@@Obscurity202 I've seen him play drums and keys mostly.
So exited to hear Harpejji II - MMIX
I finally get Backgammon!
Omw to hang a rug on my wall
Rug on the wall = S Tier
My stank face was in need of refreshing today. Thanks for this.
Now that’s wild 🐲
Harpejji I? You got me thinking sequel over here!
pretty sick that they made the Justice bass into a real instrument
top tier comment
My one and only complaint is that this song isn't longer.
I was nodding my head within a tenth of a second
harpejji ain't noo waaay
Jack is a master of his craft. Which... apparently now includes the Harpejji. News to me, but im not sure what else i expected.
Great artist on a great instrument!
it still gets funkier
My boy
Right on! Every new video is a joy.
This instrument has captured the algorithm
Damn, this is the best usage of one of these that I've seen.
I love love loveeeeee it💃🏻🕺🏻
This is exactly what I've wanted to see come out of a harpejji
Just when I was trying to convince myself that I didn't need a Harpejji.... Godammit. TO FUNKY TO STAY AWAY.
who knew you could get this much groove out of a harpejji
Yes! Saw a video Rob Scallon and Andrew Huang did with this thing yesterday. It's so funky, especially with an auto -wah. I'd love to hear it in a full on Vulfpeck song
I don’t know why but these things are just popping up everywhere this week I saw that video too
@@popstarlo5217 Pretty sure the company that makes them sends them out to creators for free. I think either Rob or Andrew said something along those lines but don't quote me on it.
@@Bassalicious ah ok ok that would make sense why so many people are getting them at the same time
uh huh the influencers are influencing
the best part about funk instrumentals? they ain't got any words!
Vulfmon is my favorite Digimon.
It is great to see Norm from This Old House has found a new creative outlet.
😂
Very cool! I'm going to get one of these things someday.
This gives me Toe Jam n Earl vibes
can we talk about that snare? sheeeeeeeeeesh
This is product placement and now I want it.
Throw it on down Jack!
Vulf gives me hope thru the visceral medium of funk.
Now that's what I call.
Wow 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
so sick!!!! please tour the west coast this year. Love you x
Oh Yeah!!
Pure concentrated funk, no filler
That looks fun
Damn the panning on this delay is next level
love me some 'pejji
Dude, this song is super dope. I totally buy the 12 inch single.
Amazing ❤
DJ Paradiddle is BACK
For real. If you told me this was a 2010 bandcamp release I'd believe it. Tight groove
So weird I just watched a video about these things a couple days ago, Jack doesn't just understand the algorithm, he IS the algorithm
Holy Trinities - Harpejji
Stevie Wonder
Cory Henry
Jack Stratton
muy bueno👍
great instrument love jacks afro!
I would like more of this please.
That squashy snare hit at the end of the 4th bar 😮
Vulf yeah!
Only realising now I've heard this just how Vulf the harpejji is!
Awesome! I love it!
I gotta get me one of these.
So bad ass, wait, wait. I thought you couldn’t party ?
Tight
This might be the coolest thing I've ever seen. Definite Stevie Wonder vibes going on here.
What is this magical instrument?!
that instrument is so cool wtf
Chaaaaaaaa!
At this point, I want Harpejji... Thanks Jack..
Louis Cole would definitely go crazy on such a device
So many frets, but you only need two!
Hard as nails
can't beat an official harpejjing music video
Yaa Jack!!
Are you joking me? That's awesome.
"Take a look at these hands
Take a look at these hands
The hand speaks"
Yo, this really isn't long enough. Glad I can loop it... XD
So funky and low volume
I’ve always felt like hooking one of these up to a synth would be super cool. I think you can output multiple cords from a single harpeji
how would you hook it up to a synth tho? I don't think these things have midi out, just an instrument level out. You could put it into the audio in of a synth and run it through the filter and the amp though
@@matthijsblomjous3671kinda answered Your own question. You’re cute bruh
Sau cool 😎
