Bought my first encore frame over 20 years ago. Then 20 years ago I bought my first pistol barrel which was a 15" 50 caliber muzzle loader. Practiced 4 times a week and that same year in camp blanding Florida in general gun season I killed a very big 8 pointer with my first encore pistol.I knew this would change my life. I looked straight up into the sky and said out loud....thank you jesus

That's awesome. It shows you are thankful and humble. This guy went straight into a T/C commercial, then evaluated the "trophy" before a gratuitous "thank you buddy" To the buck while his gun was laying on it... I guess I'll never be a sponsored hunter. I prefer your way.

@@DeepOwl1073 in 2004 I killed 3 different bucks in 3 different state and national forests with 3 different encore pistols. All legal and checked and weighed at check stations. The lord gave me something that I could have never imagined. I went down on my knees every time as soon as I climbed down with my tree lounge .the lord put me in a position to meet a Vietnam veteran the very day I shot number 3. I took him hunting and to the shooting range every day possible for 3 years.he passed away after the 3rd season hunting together. I trained him in hunting with a pistol. He eventually killed 2 bucks with my rifles and 2 bucks with my pistols. God gave me something incredible and he wanted me to take a Vietnam veteran sergeant and teach him something very difficult with hunting with handguns. The first buck he killed was with my 30-30 pistol .65 yards from a tree stand and dropped him in his tracks.i instantly knew what I was there for and why

@@DeepOwl1073 I'm 100% sure he put me there and to put 100% focus on David hunting. I killed a big 8 pointer in ocala national forest the day I'm met him .it was only a couple days left in the season. The next 3 years I never got close to killing a deer.all my focus was on David.literally I would walk towards his tree stand around lunch time with a footlong sub a quart Gatorade and a box of Marlboros and tie them on his string and he would pull them up.he had several heart attacks before I met him.he could stay in a tree stand longer than he could walk out and back.i dont regret nothing

Like shooting fish out of a goldfish bowl? Where can you hunt deer in the middle of the summer? I always thought deer dropped their antlers in the late fall and didn't have a full unvelveted rack until the next fall? I've only been deer hunting for a few years so I've still got a lot to learn I see. Thanks for sharing.

    • @WhitetailDiaries

This episode was filmed in the fall last year. We are put up the full uninterrupted hunt.
In Texas it depends on when deer will shed their antlers. We've had them start start shedding from March through May and even June.
If you have any other questions about deer hunting please feel free to ask!

Still available is the Hornady 308 win target in Sierra hollow point boat talis that generates more speed and energy than a standard 3006 Springfield. HE stands for high energy. That's if you didnt know.
I have got HE 3006 that I really like to hunt with and there loaded federal and have 165 trophy bonded bullets. So yes there are 308 magnum and or HE bullets
