Originally, we only had the option of EXO'rDIUM DVD being Japan; so people would most likely tell you Japan to increase the chance you'd watch the HD, good camerawork DVD version. Later, a Seoul EXO'rDIUM DVD was released, but it's from when Kai was injured(during Lotto promotions/era); so he's only in a few performances there & he's sitting. EXO'luXion is trickier, because some performances were honestly better during the Japan concert, but Lay wasn't there for Japan; they also changed the way they did some things between the two concerts. It's a decent rule of thumb to stick with Japan, when it comes to EXO'rDIUM~ The only thing I'd maybe say watch the Seoul (and Japan?) version is the opening + MAMA/Monster!!! (Don't get me started listing the differences for the DVDs for The Lost Planet! We'd be here a while...)
Your rule of thumb about "EXO in white clothes = water" is not completely wrong, but I remind you for Lightsaber they were in all black (after they took off their shiny jackets)^.^ It's Lay, Kai, & Sehun in white shirts + black pants; that's when red flags should go up!
