Exactly what a dog does when no training and no job, he does exactly what he wants. After being given a job and trained did you see the result? No attacks because now the dog is properly trained. To me small kid's and dog's are a lot alike if you sit back and think about it. Small children they do not learn or comprehend what we are teaching them without (training), same with a dog. OK I will explain like this.. Take your child out on the farm let's say they throw rock's at the goat's. Parent's know they are not suppose to do that, so what does the parent do? They discipline the child and show them you do not throw rocks. So now the parent has exercised to the child that is not going to continue, as the child get's older the child begin's to understand. Same with a dog. Dog has not been trained that attacking is not ok. You take your time with the dog and you demonstrate to the dog that this is what is going to happen. Just like Cesar did. It is not rocket science it is nothing more than common sense. You have to watch your energy, no touch, no talk, no eye contact is great and it work's every single time. The owners are the problem not the dog. He wasn’t trained properly nor is he the right type of dog to be near livestock. They should’ve rehomed him as a puppy to give him a better chance. I’m glad Ceasar is here.
German Shepards were bred to herd and protect sheep. All dogs are going to have instincts to hunt as well. He just needed to be trained properly for the job(s) they want him to do, & how they want him to behave.

I mean, can't really know a dogs going to attack/kill large livestock until it does.. Some dogs will be 100% fine UNTIL they know nobody's around to stop them. Example, I have 2 female pitbulls that are extremely dog aggressive. If I'm right there, they'll get along all day, play, snuggle eachother & my oldest one will even play with other dogs as long as I'm there. When I go to work though, I have to separate them until I'm back home because they'll kill eachother once I leave.
@@laurafratoni7931 Depends what you consider "crazy" I guess.. I grew up with pitbulls & never had any bad experience with any of them.. Some couldn't be around many other dogs, if any at all.. But, I wouldn't consider that crazy... just a trait they were bred for. No different than any other breed with specific breed traits/instincts..
I don't know of a single rancher or farmer that would have found their dog killing livestock and not put that dog down the same day. I'm guessing these people are ranching as a hobby and not for commercial purposes.
As I replied to someone else, why put the dog down? The dog was not trained and it's not the dog's fault. It is a dog!! Not trained, you have a killing waiting to happen. Train the dog be a good owner and you have no worries. You know I did not graduate high school but this is common sense. geese Louise.
@@DianaCruz-w1m most farm dogs are usually fairly well trained for their jobs. If an actual farmer had their fully trained dog suddenly start killing animals, that would probably indicate some sort of neurological problem. So for a dog like this, training is the answer. But most farmers cannot risk having a truly dangerous animal with their livestock, and a good livestock guardian dog would maul another livestock guardian dog if it tried to kill the livestock it was protecting.
How do they know he actually killed the goats he was in the middle of them. Maybe they were actually killed by coyotes and he stopped them but it was to late you never know knowone actually saw it.

These people are abusing animals. Sigh. I don’t live in this state but I’d call animal control for allowing that girl - who is WAY TOO BIG - kicking the sh*t out of that pony. And allowing that monster to maul the animals is appalling, These people are appalling.
I was hoping that I wasn't the only one to notice that! Absolutely ridiculous. These people don't seem like they know what they're doing. They seem like they had money, got the land somehow. And decided they wanted to become ranchers. Growing up, the second a dog killed any livestock. It was gone. There was no risking the lives of the animals while trying to correct the behavior. Then again. We relied on our livestock, and didn't have the money to be replacing any animals like this family likely does. With that said. We actually did research about our dogs, got them from reputable breeders, from parents with good genetics, wonderful temperaments, and low prey drive. We also trained our dogs from day one as pups, around the animals and children. Our great Pyrenees are the only dogs who have access to the livestock, as they live with them. But our other dogs do not. Even though they are 100% trustworthy with them with us around. They all have jobs, and are well trained to do those jobs. So, we don't worry. I just don't understand why they have a dog they know to be dangerous, to have free roam of the property and access to any of the animals. It's insane. Back to the scene with that poor pony and that girl. That's was absolutely appalling to see. I hope someone looks into these people and check their poor animals.
Llama Lorenzo was just one stare away from decapitation. The fear in Ceaser's eyes when they were tied together was real. Llama was blissfully ignorant.
This one was so dope! That dog looked so happy! My GSD NEEDED a job. He was never so happy as when I made it his job to carry the stick. The heavier and bigger the stick the more struggle but the more happy he became. That was his job. If he dropped the stick....sometimes a dang whole tree branch or log, I made him go get it and bring it with us. People may say it is stupid and simple. For the dog it was purpose and created a deeper bond. Thanks GOD. I will always have Cesar to teach me and remind me of my dog Champion. I even bought the Cesar backpack for him and filled the pockets full of sand. It was then I realized how important and what responsibility I had to give him that gift of being a contributing member of my pack.
*How is it possible that this family, knowing that the dog killed other animals, is still free? That dog is a danger to everyone! Since the first animal he killed, they should have called Cesar! Bach flowers can't eliminate the danger of a dog to again suddenly snap and go crazy-also irresponsible, too dangerous. Cesar, i don't like how you earn your money. You have to tell the people the truth.
No way these 2 out of shape ppl ever did anything to prevent this, or put time in training this dog. All their animals just live there in dirt, with no purpose in life.
How do the owners allow this to continue? Why does the sister have to be the one to ask for help? Putting the dog in an enclosure doesnt solve the problem, it just separates it. Rather than considering putting the dog down, how about training and taking charge of the dog?

The dog has killed multiple animals but they let it run free on the ranch. Either rehome him to someone capable of rehabbing him, keep him locked up and away from your livestock, or put him down.
Err... so the fact that Cesar was able to change his behaviour so that he didn't do it again and the family also worked with him and together they saved the dog from being permanently locked up or euthanised - that means absolutely nothing to you? You'd still recommend one of the options you mentioned even though the dog's behaviour had changed and they had no further problems with him? If there was something mentally unbalanced in the dog, then fair enough. But there wasn't. It was down to the training that the people hadn't done. Once Cesar did the initial habituation with animals and showed the family what to do the problem was solved. Better people, better dog. Almost every case Cesar takes on works this way. Out of all the hundreds videos I have watched, only one dog was mentally unbalanced and taken away permanently from the owners. Understanding how different animals tick goes a long way. Humans don't often do that. They just kill an animal if it doesn't behave how they think it 'should', and without ever showing it how to behave in the first place.
@@anniebygrave9300 Even if this one family did rebab him, they were still irresponsible for letting a clearly dangerous dog have free run of their farm.
Don’t know if he’s really “rehabbed”. It was always on leash and under control post the “intervention”. They could’ve done that from jump and never did. They shouldn’t have any animals.
The dog lacked training and something to do. The moment that they said that they "spoiled" the dog i knew that's what it went wrong. Puppies learn boundaries first from their moms at a early age. Many people ignore inappropriate behaviors when they are puppies and becomes very hard to deal with when the dogs are grown. Also i can't believe they waited so long to something or seek help.
That is so good that you can/have to teach animals to be kind , and not to bring on danger. My problem right now is teaching humans not to be a danger to animals or to teach them what they want. You are a blessing to both. Good lesson learned
Bodie just needed a job and to be taught that other animals were not a threat. Amazing that you can turn a "killer" into a treasured "worker" and he can assist you around the farm. Dogs need a job and they need to feel safe. They need a pack leader to trust that they will not be harmed. Well done guys !

These dang bad animal owners!!! If you know your dog is viscous, why would you let your dog near these animals. Keep them in an area where they can't hurt anyone, dang it! You can train horses, but you can't train your dog! Smh, you don't deserve dogs if you can't handle them or horses if you can't protect them.
This is one dog I would just never leave alone with other animals on the farm….not worth the risk..BUT, using him to help with chores is perfect. He does need an actual job but he is by no means a livestock guardian.
That dog is a live stock guardian. Any dog can be. Like I have replied to others, it's all about trust, energy and the correct guidance. I have a 6 year old Belgian Malinois which these dogs are widely trained for military and protection purposes. They are also listed on rental property as banned. Why? Somewhere down the line there was what I call a bad owner, not a bad dog. That dog was not trained period and gave the rest of BM a bad name. It is common sense called training. Do people train their horses? Yes. Then train your dog. Believe me it boils down to the owner of the dog. You can not just tell your dog Go and play. No, they must be trained how hard is it? Where is the common sense in these replies?
Why is the dog not tied up while they work with the horses and other animals? And why is he allowed around the other animals while they are sleeping? It's good they caged him to keep the animals safe but if they can't control him he should be tied while the horses are out
Me gusto mucho ver que no solo rehabilitaste al perro si no que, lo integraste a la familia con una bella actividad que lo conecta con los demás animales que forman parte de la familia.
That dog would have been put down without prejudice after killing defenseless animals, too dangerous to have around. With all due respect for Ceasers training techniques I would never trust that dog.
The owners will put down the dog? They are responsible for letting it get this far. If they can’t have this dog around other animals, then give him to someone who doesn’t have other animals. He appears fine around the other dog. He doesn’t need to be put down!
I’m only 2 minutes into this. Action should have been taken when the incident with the goats happened. For any dog that is unacceptable behavior. He should have been in intensive training even before then since he’s living on a farm with other animals that could trigger his prey drive.
4:40 if i just see that and hear they call themself animal lovers it turns my stomach. they dont even have any knowledge about dogs but it seems like they dont know anything about horses neither. Poor pony is in pure discomfort and the horse in the clip before is also way to skinny to ride it

I❤seeing this type of episodes , were the family comes together to make something good happen. But is all thanks to Cesar , you really make a difference in this world 🙏🏻💝
I’m sorry you’re wrong. Pound for pound ponies are stronger than horses. Adults can, and do, ride ponies, usually not ones that small. That girl doesn’t weigh too much for the pony. Does she look fantastic on it? No, because she has long limbs and that’s a short pony. She’s on bareback and riding somewhat sloppily, but she isn’t really doing anything wrong.
It is pretty appalling that the people would let Bodie hurt so many animals and still have the maniac running around, to the point where the sister had to move her horse somewhere else. Emotional attachment aside, horses are very expensive and they could so easily have gotten hurt from the dog’s behavior and the dog also could’ve had his brains stove out by a horse’s hoof. They don’t put up with that predator shit without kicking out.
i am SO angered by the sheer stupidity of people buying dogs because they’re “cute” and not doing any research on their breed. This woman buys a dog for her sister that it is a mix of two of the most violent attack dogs and because of it poor innocent animals suffered and died. The owner should have either gotten rid of the dog or had it completely trained the minute he killed that chicken. Instead, she did nothing and two goats died and her horse got attacked. Dogs do that. They literally prey on such animals. They know them to be food
The owners are the problem not the dog. He wasn’t trained properly nor is he the right type of dog to be near livestock. They should’ve rehomed him as a puppy to give him a better chance. I’m glad Ceasar is here.

Dat is toch raar
I mean, can't really know a dogs going to attack/kill large livestock until it does.. Some dogs will be 100% fine UNTIL they know nobody's around to stop them. Example, I have 2 female pitbulls that are extremely dog aggressive. If I'm right there, they'll get along all day, play, snuggle eachother & my oldest one will even play with other dogs as long as I'm there. When I go to work though, I have to separate them until I'm back home because they'll kill eachother once I leave.
I love all animals, but if I couldnt get in touch with someone like Cesar or anyone else to help, that dog would be gone...

Can I just say I have never seen sheep stomp their feet and challenge another animal, that was pretty impressive :D
If you train your horse's train your dog or yeah that's exactly what you will get is dead animal's. The dog's are not born to say oh wow that's a goat I am not suppose to kill it. It is a dog!! Not trained, you have a killing waiting to happen. Train the dog be a good owner and you have no worries. You know I did not graduate high school but this is common sense. geese Louise.
@@DianaCruz-w1m You are wrong.

Somewhere down the line there was what I call a bad owner, not a bad dog. That dog was not trained period and gave the rest of BM a bad name. It is common sense called training. I can't believe that the daughter was riding a small pony she's far too large to do that. She'll end up crippling the horse.
