I agree, I too prefer the wood finish. It could be stained a darker colour, and if it was going to be painted, I'd want a brighter and more eye catching colour. This is definitely a great idea for a D.Y.I. table and it's one that I'd like to try!
Each of those bowls cost close to $20. So you spend $80+$20 on paint and other materials. On total $100. I would simply get a new side table at this point.
Exactly what I was thinking lmao. Its very nice if it's perfectly your aesthetic... but surely you can find a decent small side table for $100+? One that will likely be more sturdy than this one
@@Dlrart it looks like the diameter is big enough to allow it, but anyway she has tools to flatten it a bit and attach the hinge to the flat part. You can see similar situation if you search the images of "globe bars", some of them have rims, but some are just plain globes.
Cheap has nothing to do with the looks of wood. They seemed to be made from bamboo. Which can have different qualities. Anyhow the wood was nicer to the eye and would have fit right in with the floor. The actual table surface painted and sealed would have perfected this DIY
I love how these simple quick diy tutorials always have power tools and equipment that make their tips quick and easy but my ass don’t have any of them.
I would have kept the natural wood material, laquer it a little darker and put a marble or glass countertop. I prefer things to feel expensive, but good job. Oh and also, this project cost you €100. If it was to save money it's a wrong project, but if it was to have a unique design; congratulations you did a good job 😊

Just a little tip. Switch the pendulum off or turn it down on the jigsaw. You'll get a neater cut. Also dont have as much hanging over the table, thats why its bouncing about. The end results are lovely though.
I prefer the natural wood. It just looks better to me.
Me too.

Beautiful, it would have also been really cool with original pattern of the bowls
❤...My thoughts exactly...She didn't give a total price...those bowls look expensive...
@@detricemalone-ue8vo the bowls are from ikea
I agree
@@detricemalone-ue8vo IKEA….NOT ‘expensive’. I bet less than $10 each.
Yes….but her decor seems to have white accent furnishings. Look at her coffee table. The natural wood would look out of place.
The original was much prettier than the painted to me
Good thing it's not your DIY or going in your house.

The natural color was also very beautiful.
Very creative.

No. That’s unique at $100 you could probably buy a regular table, not real wood which she covered anyway.😢
Bowls are $25 plus tax
Exactly what I was thinking lmao. Its very nice if it's perfectly your aesthetic... but surely you can find a decent small side table for $100+? One that will likely be more sturdy than this one
Not if u use Dollar tree products
Exactly what I think
Normal wood looks better
Or if you need more storage, instead of gluing the top on directly, you could put it on a hinge and store stuff in the top bowl!
I definitely said it had to be hinges. 😅
Or even have four pieces on the bottom to work like a lid and, make it bigger. Either way your using that space.
How to you put a hinge on a round “lid”

Spoil the beauty of wooden bowl. ...

Awesome! But it would of been fantastic if you kept the original pattern of then bowl! :)
Instead of this we can use these....each bowl for basic things
Like to put some fruits vegetables etc ...in it😪😅🤣
Should have put hinges on them so you can use it for snacks.

no.
Yes exactly.
When she painted the beautiful wood i cried, but if she likes it its all good 😊
Just leave it natural wood 😢

Definitely better with the natural wood
Like others, I much preferred the wood
Why would I make this out of those beautiful bowles?
Because you want table and have enough cheap bowls?

That wooden look was way better
beauyiful job! the white top with wood bowl would of been beautiful too!
This is cool. Would love to see if there’s a way to keep the original grain of the bowls

Madem sıva yapıp kapatacaktın plastik falan kullansaydın. Ahşap a yazık oldu. Ahşap olduğu gibi kalsaydı daha güzel olurdu
I wouldn't have painted it white..The original look was good..Loved your work❤
The wood color and texture looks better.
she ruins the hard work of bowl maker
How so??? She didn't toss into a landfill...they're being used. Just not in the typical way that YOU'D use them in. She did it HER way
lol do you think ikea employs a bespoke person to hand-carve bowls? those things were definitely made on a machine
Creative, however, that takes up a quite a bit of space for just a bowl to display something or store an item
So pretty. I like the wood look too
It looks great, i might add a hole in the back of the ball part to keep things i don’t want to be seen.. like chargers, napkins, etc
Oh that's so cute!!!!! I love the cement look of it as well.
Ruined it😮
That’s actually stunning
Without white color it was looking classy
People who get upset over wood being painted make me want to paint all the wood.
Tirou toda a beleza da peça
I thought for sure that top was going to be hinged...for storage. ❤
Waste of bowls😢
That Bowl maker ! Has to be the most skillful Artist 😮
Didn't need the lid actually
Love the white!

I liked the look of the wood. Also i thought it was for a cat😅😅

Na klar! Bambusholz mit Farbe vollschmieren.😢
Those who are saying its ikea wood actually its bamboo bowl
Horrible 😂
Gorgeous sculptural stand. Love the colour!🥳

That looks soo elegant! I think that white paint gives more royal and classy look! It looks like an art!! 🤍✨
I don't usually like this kind of DIY but this look stuning! I hope you keep it up
I don't why?.....but if I had that, I would use it as bowls to put vegetables and fruits in it. 😂
the amount of trust to that glue is fire🔥
If you added a hinge in the inside of the top section, you would’ve been able to put your belongings inside of it.

Can you please show your cat. It's so adorable!
The natural wood is more classy, high quality and regal, looks high end. The white paint doesn't do these beautiful bowls justice
Nice but soft colours like peach or gold would have been amazing!
I thought I was the only one who missed the original wooden design but the comment section proved me wrong
This was so good! I’m so envious of those that can actually use a jigsaw 😊
