Paul with all the space you have, I can’t understand why, you don’t have a feed store, (barn for feed) buy it in bulk save money and store it on your property, save on trips to the feed store save fuel also. Just a thought!

I would feed them grain regularly until they get their weight up. Ideally you’d give them some loose minerals for cattle as well. Their pasture is so nice for the two of them.

Please don't forget about hoof care; living on grass there hooves will overgrow or crack and will need to be trimmed. Amazing video as always.

I have a miniature zebu cow and he is such a great pet they are very low maintenance and they don’t get bigger than about 3 feet !
The cow is so lucky to have Paul as an owner

Think it’s cool that you’ve got cows but you need to be very careful with the male. If he’s still a bull you’ll need to castrate him unless you’re using him to stud. And never turn your back on him and all that stuff. He could be the nicest animal ever but never fully let your guard down because he could hurt you even if he doesn’t mean to.

Welcome to the cattle life!! They are gentle giants and you will form a bond with them. Just don't forget that they are going to get 1000lbs and they won't realize how big they are. They will want to use you as a scratching post, play, and sometimes get protective. They can easily hurt you and not realize it. But, they will become your best friend! I have 30 best friends in my pasture 😊❤️

From the intro I honestly thought Paul was going to put the cows in the shopping cart XD and a couple of names are Milka for the female and Bullseye for the male :)
If you put a little bit of chicken feed on the cow patties and put chickens in there then they will spread out the patties so they decompose fast
Hey Paul, I would recommend getting a salt block to put with the mineral block. You can also try halter training them. It would help with bonding.

Grain can be given to them everyday and will the small size of your pasture you really need to be giving them grain to supplement their nutrition. Ranchers give a minimum of 2 acres per head and the ranch I worked at did 3 to ensure they were getting enough grass. But since you are not able to give them 2 acres each you must supplement them with a constant hay source and grain. Half a scoop twice a day until they are almost full grown then 1 scoop twice a day. Also Blake said that grain made his cow start limping this is highly unlikely there are hundreds of show cattle and cattle being feed out for meat production getting grain in large amounts daily the limping was probably due to another issue. Also the hay you are using contains alfalfa which can cause bloating.

He knew he was getting cows (bulls) for a long time and didn't do any research. That's just plain sad.
The baby cows are so cute
Being that these Angus calves are skinny I do recommend feeding them grain daily to get them to a decent weight. I also highly recommend pasture rotation. Those cows will destroy that pasture in no more than two months.
Ideas for names
Male: Bandit, Rocky, Pocket, Rambo, Rocket
Female: Daisy, Rose, River, Ruby, Pebble
I would get a vet out there ASAP to look at the cows and get the male neutered Once hes neutered he will be much friendlier
