a genuine person with her straight forward opinion is rare these days. Thoroughly enoyed this episode..
Exactly. Can't agree more.
Watching Bong eats is like a meditation. The knowledge and the aesthetics that you consistenly put in your videos just makes this channel a class apart. Thank god Bong eats exists for people like me whos totally disgusted to see poor quality food vlogging content. You guys are the Blue Poppy in the world of Wow Momo.
Can't agree more..! Hi5 on that mate... Truer words, spoken beautifully! ❤️
Damn true😩❤️
Absolutely agree with you. Absolutely.
Bang on
Exactly 🤗😊
This brings fond memories of Blue Poppy from college times. If we felt splurgy we would all just bundle up and walk from the Xavier's back gate and walk towards Sikkim House. Blue Poppy was always full! But you would never complaint waiting in queue and just eat and leave with your heart and stomachs full. That is the reason why restaurants like Blue Poppy are still popular...there is no lure of fancy lighting or instagrammable decor...you just crave the food, go eat and leave with your hearts full and this no frills business is so brightly evident in Doma ma'am and Sachiko. I will always be a loyal customer!
I completely agree with you Megha :) just cherishing our back gate times and stories. It was almost a part of our daily college routine.
Megha di, what an apt experience of the culinary life of being a Xaverian you've captured here. Sudatta, a friend of mine from our department tells me of how lovely it is at Thakali. I've always wanted to go but never had the chance. Looks like I'll be relishing my first time there now that Bongeats have brought to light Doma and Sachiko's genius of having this iconic restaurant.
The best of Rannaghore Ke till now. Such a humble and honest person she is!
I just loved the innocence when she said " Ahh, sorry I put it back with same hands"... ☺️☺️
Amazing series!!!!
apart from some excellent cooking, there were some important messages in this video:
1. wow momo is absolute shit
2. how we live without paid food bloggers and reviewers
3. swiggy and zomato charging huge premium for their services
4. restaurant owners need not have a degree
5. dedication matters
thank you for the great video. keep up the good work
That's a really nice take away you have given from this video ..thank you :)
Yes wow momo is indeed worst. Its not momo.
So lame!! There was a excellent chef who was trying to talk about her style of cooking and all you took away was this bullshit that you have shared in your takeaways!
Amazing! Doma Wang you have started an iconic restaurant in Kolkata! And Sachiko is taking this to new heights with the team! Well done and all good wishes to the Wang Family and The Blue Poppy Thakali and all new ventures! I love you all! ❤️
It's a treat to see Sachiko Seth in action!! This series is getting better with every episode ❤️❤️
What a beautiful episode, great people, Sachiko is just simply herself & genuine.
Love all the way from Sudan ❤️❤️❤️
Loved to watch this episode. I feel nostalgic regarding Blue Poppy as we often used to get good food from there when it was across City Centre in Mizoram House and then in Sikkim House. Excellent Chinese food. I would still vouch for it. And it's momos are heaven. Nothing like Blue Poppy Momos. I even remember an incident that once we were eating in the Mizoram House Blue Poppy and had already started digging into our Manchurian chicken. Doma Wang came , replaced it with another new Manchurian chicken on her own stating that the first dish had spoilt chicken. She actually did it on her own and we were very impressed by her Swift action. No restaurant till date does that. Such honesty !!! I wish them all the success !!! 🤗🤗🤗
Etai to chai ..... No fake statement no বাক্যের বিস্ফোরণ! sachiko seth is a very down to earth person and love her recipee with পাঁচফোড়ন । Nice Recipes and great presentation BONG EATS . thank you
It's her... Not his
This brings back soooo many memories. I studied and grew up in Kalimpong and we ate aloo thukpa, momos, shafalay, tingmo and so many other things on a regular basis. I was a regular in Blue Poppy because every time I ate there, it brought back memories. Thank you for this video ❤️
She is a jolly person to talk too... You simply just can't get bored around her
❤️That’s my sister !! 🤩
I've been to Blue Poppy so many times, in their old CC1 branch (now closed) and also the Middleton Street one. The best momos and shaphalays in the whole of Kolkata, only trailing to the mountain ones. Never had the chance to meet Sachiko but I'm so glad to see her today, thanks to you guys! Great job and love :)
This is the best episode for ranna ghore ke...... Brings back all good memories. Going their with best friend, boy friends, cousins, mom half the time returning from new market
She is so cute! Loved the conversation! Lets plan a lunch there next time m in town. Can't wait to have that shaphale. 🙈

Watched the whole episode with a broad smile, just felt like my own family members are making something in the kitchen and gossiping with each other. Eagerly waiting for the next one! ❤️
The genuineness of these three people comes through every frame....they are hard working, successful, aware of their surroundings and humble!

I was waiting for the video to end before hitting the like button, but couldn’t resist for long as she said wow momo’s momo is the worst in town. Love her honesty. ❤️
You two are essentially food historians now. It's so amazing to hear the stories of well-loved restaurants. Sachiko is a delight to watch. :)

By far the most enjoyable episodes of rannaghore ke. Sachiko is so frank anf adorable.
Waited so long for the next Rannaghor e k? And it was worth the wait!
Being a small cafe owner myself , I so much related to this particular video , we also started on our own, making dishes experimenting , then cleaning dishes at the end of day going back home at 2 mid night again waking up in the morning to do the bazar etc. And about the Zomato thing and others , it is really difficult to do business. Any way I smiled throughout the video and thats what makes me happy !!
Ah love Blue Poppy, go there every other weekend and have met Doma Wang multiple times. What a charming place.
Loved it, thank you for bringing her here! Love from Bangladesh.

Wonderful. Spontaneous, entertaining, interesting. Thank you so much.
I was about to skip this. So glad wisdom prevailed and I didn't! Old school thoughts are so extremely rare these days. She was a delight to watch! Thank you Bong Eats for serving this episode with an extra dollop of awesomeness!
I hope you collaborate with Sachiko Seth again. This episode was so so very enjoyable, as much for the banter as the food. Will definitely be trying the aloo thukpa with ingredients I can scrounge up.
Loved this episode, I am a fan of blue poppy, it introduced me to chilli pork, no one makes it like them. Felt sad when their restaurant in Sikkim House closed. I first visited them with my friends back in 2009.
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode more for Sachiko. What a wonderful down to earth hands down person.Never in my wildest dreams thought of having aloo dum with noodles.lovely.A true success story indeed

I have so many fond memories of eating that iconic Blue Poppy alu dum. Made it immediately after watching this video. Thank you Sachiko, for sharing the recipe. Tasted almost the same, but it lacked the warmth of Blue Poppy. Haha. What a wonderful video, as always!

Your video is just marvellous...and the person is so humble and down to earth... respect from the core of my heart ❤️
The chef was so happy preparing food , that makes the food so tasty
I enjoyed every video of yours.....and about Blue Poppy Thakali...its the best place for Tibetan and Nepali cuisine in Kolkata.
Wow such a raw , transparent person. Very very genuine 😊
Sachiko Seth seems to be no nonsense old school person. Someday would like to go to Blue Poppy.
Biggest joy inducer is her addictive affinity to truth. No filters. Truth beauty, truth joy 👏
I wish she showed their Shyapta or the Pork chili or even the open momos.. Those things are absolutely from Heaven
