- Alana finally went to Johor Bahru!! This was my first time going to JB and we made it a family trip with mum, Abbas and Joey too! We went to the Layang-Layang museum and ate some really yum nasi lemak too! Thank you also to La Reine for having us down in JB for a wonderful trip! 🤗🇲🇾

When you come to JB.. you should try laksa Johor…, mee bandung, kacang pol, soto, tauhu bakar, nasi ambeng, asam pedas ikan parang or asam pedas kupang, telur pindang, opak.. pulut serunding… And many others cruisine original from Johor and you may take a trip back to KL ikut pantai timur Johor.. kota tinggi, Mersing… the beach are awsome

Welcome to Muar, my hometown. There are variety of foods in Muar. Mi bandung, mi rebus, sate, lontong etc. You should try one of those menus.
Below are the Traditional and famous food and location in JB for decades. Tips dont go to hipster and new restaurant, but try johor traditional food and old school restaurants.:
1. Breakfast: Lontong kering in Fatimah Nasi Campur in Hutan Bandar. there are many kuih available too.
2. Afternoon Lunch to 6pm: goreng pisang, kacang pool, mee rebus, a lot of johor cuisine available in Selera Johor Larkin
3. Tea time : tahu bakar, char kuey bakar and ice kacang and ice jelly in Tan Kee near Wisma Persekutuan
4. Kuih : try drive through Larkin Bakar Putu Piring
3. Dinner seafood at 1st stall in Tepian Tebrau or find sate in Kampung Melayu
In Muar :
1. Breakfast at R&H Cafe Sate Maharani for Satay, lontong and many more,
Or
Lontong and satay in Sam Beringin, Shell Jalan Khalidi
2. Lunch : Asam Pedas Kak Pit fresh seafood asam pedas in from Bandar Maharani to Parit Jawa there are many good asam pedas seafood restaurants
3. Dinner in Seafood Desa Keroma Eco Resort, Parit Keroma.
Or
Mee bandung Johor and Nasi Goreng kambing Warung Barikht Razak, Parit Ponorogo
Johor waters is famous with lobster & dugong indeed. And its rivers are famous with udang galah.
And Johor mee bandung, mee rebus & mee jawa are among the famous. Worth to try while we're in Johor.

Mee Bandung and Satay actually came originally from Muar Johor, actually satay came from Melaka's refugees who flead to Sg Bentayan in Muar, then they prepared the meat with sugars to get ready whenever portugese will start their attack!!! Sugars can prevent the meats to become easily rotten!!! They put sugarso they can be ready to flea whenever they want and at the same time, their foods also ready.

Go to the beaches in Penawar. A one and half hour drive from JB. We have Desaru, tanjung balau, Batu Layar. My personal favorite is Tanjung Buloh at Sedili

I think there are only three R&Rs built on overhead bridge: One in Melaka ( where you are at ), one in Sg. Suloh, KL and another one in Ipoh, north of Malaysia.
My late mom is from JB, and I’ve been there 2-4 times. So this is quite emotional

They do have sitting toilets but you need to search at the end. Go round and theres a sign on the door
