So imagine this: One of these jumpscarey games with the different puzzle monsters, but they all hate each other. So if two of them catch you at once they attack each other instead of you and you can get away. Strategies arise with trying to trigger more than one to cause this on purpose.
Greta - She is the baby doll that walks around and keeps on saying "Mama!" In order to avoid her you will have to walk. If you run, she she will chase you down. Also keep in mind that she can also hear you opening doors and stepping on boxes on the ground. Make sure that you aren't in her way when she walks around but it is OK to walk around her. If you have a far enough distance, you can run for a second and then walk. She doesn't run you down forever if you stopped within a good time. Mr Tatters (the clown) - When he appears, you will see a green and red light appear on the screen. He allows you to move around on the green but you have to stop moving on the red. To make him disappear, get close to him and tap him on the shoulder Kiki - When you hear her laugh, look around and keep your eyes on her or else she will get you. After some time she will disappear. Maxwell Steele (hurrying business dude) - You have to aim your flashlight at him when he comes towards you. He will basically go right through you. He has a squeaking sound when he is close by so make sure you listen out for it. Weasl - You will hear a music box playing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" that indicates that he is about to hop out of the box. The objective is to find the box and turn it off my pressing cn_RB on it. If you can't find the box then don't worry. He will just come chasing you but you can outrun him.
the only way to do it right is if they think they're doing a different immersion and then it turns into this one without them knowing. otherwise it's just about remembering the rules
The "MaMa" doll (Greta) wont chase you if you walk. Kiki, the black dress doll from the first game, just stare at her like you did in the first game. The part you ended at, all the dolls are hiding and you have to find them all under a certain amount of time or you die. And you cant turn the lights on.
@John Doe, apparently, there is a reversal where now you have to hunt them. There are instructions on the boards and files. But I agree, the mechanics are badly explained by the game

Each checkpoint is now a game i.e Hide and Seek, Tag etc. You were in the Hide and Seek phase and you are supposed to tag all the dolls before time expires hence why they were just standing there in random rooms. There is a room with a black board that explains the rules of whatever phase you are on after each checkpoint. Hope this helps.

Very big issue is that they don't read *anything*. A lot of the story cues are in paper, which of course is a shitty way of informing the player, but they're going to need to start reading if they want to continue playing.
They tried picking up a few papers but they couldn't actually pick them up, so they didn't try on anything else. I imagine if they found one of the things at the start they'd pay more attention for it and consider it not worth the time shortly after.
John Doe Actually it was required to progress through the tutorial, that's how you figure out you need to check behind the painting. But the game does such a shit job illustrating that, that almost no one gets through the tutorial without external aid.
Excellent, but they need to remember that Kiki (the female doll that laughs) works the same in this game as the first (I think). If you stare at her she will freeze, not move and (assume you look at her long enough) she will disappear. Looking away from her is BAD. But it worked out for them so lol.
Gavin was right, the little girl in the dark is kinda like a weeping angel, look at her to keep her from chasing you. The baby who keeps saying "mama" is blind, but hears you when you run. You really ought to keep an eye out for the folders on desks, and the white board messages! They're supposed to tell you these things ;)

Very big issue is that they don't read *anything*. A lot of the story cues are in paper, which of course is a shitty way of informing the player, but they're going to need to start reading if they want to continue playing.
They tried picking up a few papers but they couldn't actually pick them up, so they didn't try on anything else.
I imagine if they found one of the things at the start they'd pay more attention for it and consider it not worth the time shortly after.
Zechs Aznable Honestly, the game needs a better way of discerning what you can, and can't pick up.
John Doe Actually it was required to progress through the tutorial, that's how you figure out you need to check behind the painting. But the game does such a shit job illustrating that, that almost no one gets through the tutorial without external aid.
The finger blasting convo was by far the best part of the video
Excellent, but they need to remember that Kiki (the female doll that laughs) works the same in this game as the first (I think). If you stare at her she will freeze, not move and (assume you look at her long enough) she will disappear. Looking away from her is BAD. But it worked out for them so lol.
