  • The likes of Rumi, the Naqshbandis, and the Alevis share a kindred spirit. Nevertheless, it is indirectly so.

What you're saying makes sense in theory but in practice is more complicated. There are Suffi orders in Arab Sunni areas of Iraq that are founded or influenced by Iranians and Persian Sufi Pirs, nevertheless they are deeply and maniacally hateful sectarian against Shi'a, Iranians, Kurds, and Zoroastrians. AN example is the Naqshbandi order of Iraq, who even worship at the shrine of a Persian saint (Abu Hanifa bin Marzuban) but still supported Salafi terrorists like ISIS trying to kill zoroastrians, yezidis, shia, alevis, kurds

@teamstormcloud1281 Yes, hence why we are not supposed to be following them.

@@KeyhanTheFreeman Yeah, with Sufis there is a lot of discerning to do. Some Sufis are very friendly to Iranic heritage and others are more hostile. Sufis in the Arab Sunni Levant are typically more tolerant and openminded than the ones in Iraq though. There's a lot of societal factors that go into it. Levantines (Lebanese and Palestinians at least) tend to be more live and let live.
