Quite like the energy in this one. It can't be compared to previous boss themes from the franchise, but at least it's not as bad as some other tracks from him in this game.
@@SegaAidan Yes, and on that note, it sure is no Holders of Power, Beasts as Black as Night, In the Fires of Ignition, Deadly Temptation or Monstrum Spectrum. 💀
Personally I think this boss theme works well considering it's used for moments that may be a bit panic inducing since the bosses with this theme are generally a lot harder than some of the others.
Reminder this game is meant to be a celebration of Ys, does this sound like previous legacy Ys songs? you know songs which stand the test of time? dare I say classics
yeah it does get tiring especially considering i could say the EXACT same thing about all the other falcom composers which is they have a couple of good songs per game and the rest are either meh at best or completely forgettable to the point its hard to tell whether they wrote a new song or just reused old songs changed around a little, but asking people to be consistent about their critique is honestly too hard of a concept for the ENGLISH falcom community who latch onto the first opinion they hear/see and then parrot that until the end of time. Its funny cause especially for the trails games i played through them all one after the other with no breaks in between and at the end of it i started looking into the fandom and heard people hated one artists songs in particular and then i wondered what songs they were tied to.... turns out when i think back on the better moments/cutscenes/battle themes that actually fit what was happening in the GAME and made me want to play more it was singas music i remembered the most and actually preferred over the others pretty generic sameness from the earlier games. TLDR all of the falcom composers have the same streak of a couple bangers per game and the rest of the songs just kinda being there and that hasnt changed since the beginning but admitting that would be world shattering for them so they just ignore it. If the theme that plays doesn't elevate a cutscene/make me look forward to the next battle it plays in, or make me remember the boss battle when you hear it again it failed at its job which happens with ALL falcom games/composers since the beginning
@@GuyNumbers so the only way you can dispute what i said is to claim it as bait, yep i can tell you come from the English falcom community. You could atleast pretend you have some semblance of unhypocritical evaluation. The main melody of the section starting at 0:21 severely reminds me of Gravity Falls for some reason lol Song's chaotic in a way that just sounds unpleasant to me, and it feels super stretched out, but I also kinda like it... Guess there's always at least one Singa boss theme that does it for me. Still, he probably could've made this pretty solid with more time in the oven.
It works really well in game because it generally gets used for points where you're going "OH FUCK OH SHIT!" as you're running for your life away from Iji.
at this time, gacha game composers do MUCH BETTER 100% at composing the music for their gambling, ez cheap ah coomer bait, waifu-husbando collector gacha game than THIS "outsourced professional"
Although I agree that this music is not great, comparing it to gacha music doesn't mean much because, these days, a lot of gacha games have higher budget soundtracks than many console games, sad as that may be.
This is so good... specially during those boss battles it plays, such a panicking feeling this song has.
I really love this song
the subdued, bittersweet bell lead being drowned out by the background guitar gives this a melancholic undertone, pretty cool

Didn't thought music could be so bad that it's good, but here we are

I really agree with you
Man I really wish the part starting from 1:15 was more of the song, it's so good.

SINGA KINO SINGA KINO SINGA KINO SINGA KINO KINA SINGO
Gives me a lot of Megaman X vibes, I quite enjoy it even if it does sound like singa was on crack
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
questionable lead choice near the start but i like this one a lot, rare singa W

A neat sounding bell lead, only to be followed by this circus ass shit 1:16
😂😂😂
this is has become one of the higher quality, best in class and a masterpiece boss theme ever falcom did.

I used to think Dr Who or Star Wars haters were exhausting, that was before I came across the comment section of any song that Singa writes, jfc folks

I like the composition of this one, just not the arrangement lol
arrangement of Boss Theme 4 is good but idc for the composition of that much
Love how chaotic it sounds

Am I the only one who has no hope for good Falcom soundtracks recently? They never reach the level of excitement Usinaga made.
the most annoying singa tracks are the ones that melt into an unidentifiable sludge with all of his other battle themes and this is one of those
It sets the tension well for what I assume is a hectic fight as the first boss, but other than that I'm not really feeling it..
It works really well in game because it generally gets used for points where you're going "OH FUCK OH SHIT!" as you're running for your life away from Iji.
Similar BGM of starting melody to kuro no kiseki 2 " Buster the ghost of the garden"
Please Bring Back Monstum Spectrum
kinda meh beginning but a pretty okay track all in all

Or Monstrum Spectrum, or Vacant Interference, or Beasts as Black as Night, or Oboro, or Mighty Obstacle...
Oboro my beloved..
Those were the days...
Or In the Fires of Ignition, or A Great Ordeal, or Battle #58
the future is singa old man 💀

No emotion, too much notes to write.
